Even the rain could not dampen our camping experience at Stony Fork Campground. The Campground has a nice loop for walking, and many friendly campers were out and about. Stony Fork is a small campground, only one loop, located in a wooded area at the foot of Big Walker Mountain. A stream meanders throughout. It is nothing fancy. A stay in the pictured cabin or in the nearby campsites is a great break from reality. We had a one night stay over on our drive from atlanta to Erie, pa. We made a reservation on the internet and arrived around 5 pm. Our site, 48, was shady and wooded.
