We stayed here because it was the only place barely under $100 a night (the largest flea market in the world was going on in a nearby town that weekend - just our luck). If this would've been 1983 and the room had just been built, it would probably have been ok, but considering the room we had stayed in... More

My wife and I spent a night here on a recent road trip. This motel has seen better days. Definitely not worth the price I was charged. Room was in need of a overhaul. Wallpaper looked like it was hung by a novice. Furnishings were old and worn. Television was still an old picture tube type. Seems like they haven't... More

My friend and I needed a cheap place to stay for a couple of hours of sleep last week while on our way to West Virginia. I usually try to book through Choice Hotels, and Econo Lodge is usually their best "budget" option, so I booked here. We arrived pretty late, after 1 a.m. The employee on duty was obviously... More

We were traveling home from a trip down south and decided at a late hour to stop for the night and called Choice Privileges to find a room. Our normal Choice properties of Comfort Suites, Comfort Inn and Sleep Inn in the Wytheville area were all excessively and expensively priced. The Econo Lodge was reasonably priced at $69.00 but we... This EconoLodge, an older property, located in sight of Interstate 81, operated nicely, with friendly staff, offers good wi-fi in rooms, all the room amenities of Choice Hotels brands, including Fridge and microwave. Continental Breakfast in dedicated breakfast room. We were quite pleased with our room for a one-night stay! Thank You.

We were traveling to North Carolina and decided to stop for the night in Wytheville Virginia at the Econo Lodge. It is easy to spot from the interstate. The room was simple but had a refrig, ironing board, and alarm clock for your use. The rooms on the second floor are quieter. Both beds had a nice pillow blanket, and... More

Clean, comfortable and in decent shape. Price was very reasonable. Greeted at the desk by Karen. I had to ask her for a couple of things that night but she was FANTASTIC. Thank you, Karen! You deserve a raise! This is not a new hotel and by no means perfect but we would stay here again.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms (we had two) were nothing extraordinary, but free of terrible smells or glaring need of repair. Actually a really nice view of the mountains (and interstate) from the parking lot (I got up early enough to see the the sunrise). Continental breakfast also nothing really to write... More

Being Scottish we don't have these kind of places at home so was keen to try out an American 'Mulder & Scully' motel while on my American road trip. I was not disappointed. It is basic but nice and clean and staff were friendly. Coffee, juices and pastries were out for breakfast but I'm not a big eater at that... More
