This is our third visit this summer! We are so happy we found this campground. We live 2 hours away and Candy Hill is well worth the short drive. Safe, clean and fun place for our entire family! Nice and helpful staff. Rockin' Trolley ride on the weekends to get ice cream is the highlight of each trip! Price is... More

Candy Hill Campground is a lush setting on the outskirts of Winchester, VA. Campground is impeccably maintained with manicured grass and lots of trees. Some sites do not have sewer, but many do. Nice camp store with any item you may have left at home. The only downgrade is because of the dated restroom and showers. A little bit of... More

Camping here for the 4th of July weekend. Clean bathroom and showers, friendly staff, immaculately maintained grounds! Lots of things to do and see in the area! We will definitely have this on our return to list! 3&1/2 hours from home...with 3 stops along the way. . The camp store is loaded and the prices are unbelievably reasonable for a... More

We have a 36 foot trailer, and were parked in a decent spot, the park looked clean, nice and maintained. At first, I thought it was very nice until my husband was coming back from having his oil changed and didn't have his car pass in the windshield visible and was accosted by an elderly man, yelling at him like... We were in a beggars can't be choosers position on Memorial Day weekend. I didn't make any reservations anywhere and we were looking for a place to just pitch a tent. This isn't a campground it's a field packed with RVs. They are so close you're afraid they'll catch fire. We were put right next to the highway. All night... More

This is our third year staying at this campground. Each time the cable tv has had terrible reception. It is not our coach (as suggested by office staff)nor is it our neighbors using an antenna booster (as suggested by office staff). It is a known fact that Candy Hill has bad cable tv reception ... just read previous reviews. Why... More

Just take the time to read all the reviews please. Some may find the place acceptable but most do not. The worst experience in 15 years of camping. Stay away. Awful policies. Awful campground. Awful people.

3 couples stayed here over the 2015 long Memorial day weekend. After booking and then finding some not so nice reviews on several sites, well we were not so sure. We went with 2 toy haulers and a tt. This was a lovely place, not huge, the folks were wonderful from helping to back campers into site, to delivering wood... More

I have two brothers that have camped at candy hill for years. My wife and I recently bought a travel trailer and followed suit. We found the campground very pleasant as was the staff and management. Would not hesitate telling people in travel, or just a weekend getaway to stop and enjoy. We are all there for the same reasons,... More

This is my first review ever! I have never camped at a place that focused so intensely on money. I specifically stopped at this park, so that my grandchildren (ages 4 and 6) could spend two nights with us,. I was charged $4 per child for four nights rather than two...$16 extra that should not have been charged...but I let... More
