We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Cedars. It was a combined birthday/(surprise!) 4 day engagement trip, and it made for an extremely memorable and enjoyable experience. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome and the warmth you would hope for when staying at a bed and breakfast. Bob goes out of his way to ensure all your... More

We loved the Cedars of Williamsburg. Everyone was so friendly and the inn was spotless. I mentioned that I have asthma, so they took all the books out of the room and cleaned extra-well before we came. It really was so convenient to visit my daughter at William & Mary. They are right across the street. There was plenty of... More

Hi Bob, Thanks for taking the time to post this exceptional review on our behalf. We very much appreciate it. As you noted, the Patrick Henry room is not the room for late sleepers! Cooking breakfast can be noisy sometimes! ;-) On the other hand, sleeping in late the second morning did help you avoid that birthday picture we discussed.... More

We spent our honeymoon at the Cedars and it was amazing! We highly recommend it. Bob is a great host--so friendly and helpful with recommendations about Williamsburg. The breakfasts were delicious (the very berry french toast and the frittata we had on our last day were especially good) and the room was clean and cozy. We really enjoyed it and... More

Greeting Tdvance, We sincerely appreciate you taking time to post such a nice review of the Cedars. We are in an enviable position to help people enjoy their special times together, like your honeymoon. Thanks. The berry french toast and frittata are two favorites for sure. The Christopher Wren, our anniversary/honeymoon suite is one of the most popular. We hope... More

My wife and I stayed at the Cedars for a weekend and had a wonderful time. -The room was very clean and cozy. -The location is perfect; no more than a five minute drive to any popular Williamsburg destination (many places walkable). -The breakfasts were delicious. (We got the recipe for one in particular). -Bob (host/owner) was great. He made... More

My wife and I are two 20-somethings currently living in the DC area. We needed a short getaway to relax and get away from workplace stress. The Cedars certainly delivered. We had a wonderful stay in the Lord Botetourt suite, which featured an in-room gas fireplace and a bit more privacy than the main house. Bob was extremely hospitable, room... More

I'd never been to a B&B before and thought my wife had lost her mind when she suggested it. Turned out to be exactly what I needed. The rooms are beautiful, the staff was friendly and very helpful without being underfoot and the owner is very engaging and entertaining. We are already discussing a return trip and have passed the... More

The Cedars exceeded our expectations. We scheduled a stay with the elopement package that they offered. My wife had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before so it was a new experience for her. Everything was great...the breakfast, comfortable bed and room, and walking through the Colonial area at night. While we stayed only one night we have to thank you for the memories.

Hi Gjharrison, We are so pleased she enjoyed our hospitality and the experience. We hope that means a future visit. Your second visit automatically enrolls you in what I refer to as our "sleep around" program! It's not what you think, if you stay in every room, we name a room after you... Happy 2014. We went to The Cedars for our wedding anniversary. It was a great experience. We had the large 3rd floor room which was very nice. Well decorated and very comfortable even with the very cold evenings they had this week. The entire B&B was nicely decorated and maintained.
