A stay in Williamsburg has to include staying at Applewood. Denise and Monty welcomed us and made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were wonderful especially the Peach French Toast. The Tree Top Suite was very nice. We really enjoyed the fireplace. Loved the fresh baked cookies in the evening!!!! We will be back!!!! Larry and Judy

This was our 3rd year staying at Applewood in the Twin Elms room. Denise and Monty were wonderful each time. We plan to continue coming back each year. The breakfast was delicious as expected. We also enjoy the conversatons with Denise and Monty. Nicole and Bryan Branch

We stayed at the Applewood for two nights and had a lovely time. Denise & Monty were great hosts and the breakfasts were delicious. We were also impressed with the comfort of the beds and the softness of the sheets. The first night we stayed in the Blue Room. The room was cozy and comfortable. The second night we stayed... More

The Applewood Colonial B & B is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Williamsburg. Walking distance from Colonial section, close to restaurants and other attractions. The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and make you feel like family. Breakfasts are wonderful as are the fresh baked cookies in the evening. Stay here and you won't be... More

My mother and I enjoyed four nights and four wonderful morning meals at Applewood while touring Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Besides being a fab cook, Denise is a charming hostess full of tips for where and when to visit the historic sites plus modern day restaurants and shopping. The house and gardens are a lovely prelude to the historic districts,... More

My husband and I first stayed here in April of 2010 for our honeymoon. It was one of the many places we stayed during our two week road trip but it was by far our favorite. We are actually returning for a second stay this coming February with friends and simply can not wait. The rooms are quaint, the beds... More

Stayed here for 4 nights - lovely place, absolutely wonderful breakfast! A short walk to Colonial Williamsburg which we appreciated to work off all the delicious food we ate at the restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 3 nights over the Fourth of July week during the hottest days of the summer. They kept the rooms nice and cool, actually had to pull the covers up!! We were the only guests that week and when we arrived they offered any of the rooms for our pick! They treated us like one of the family and made... More

My daughter and I were on a short 3 day stay in Williamsburg. We were looking for a B&B that had a room with 2 beds and we read about the Applewoods Tree Top Suite through Trip Advisor and we were able to book it. The suite was reasonably priced compared to other accommodations. The inn and the suite are... More

Spent one night at the beginning of June 2012 and had a wonderful time. Denise (owner) was very friendly and accommodating. My room was perfect—lovely old antiques, a nice poster bed, and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was so good. I definitely recommend this b and b. It is about five blocks west of Colonial Williamsburg proper, very easy walk.
