Providence Hall Guest House is an "annex" of the Williamsburg Inn. The daily rate was $271 vs the Inn which is somewhere between $350-400 per night. In short, it was a disappointment. The rooms are quite large and nicely decorated but the place is "long in the tooth" having been built in the 60s or 70s. We don't go to... More

My husband and I recently stayed two nights in the guesthouses with our 21yo daughter. This was our first stay at this hotel. The rate on our room was $ 307/night. The positives are: the size of the room, the location of the room, and the view from our balcony. We had a King bed with sitting area containing a... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Williamsburg this past weekend as a result of my nieces graduation. A family member had rented out the entire Providence Hall home and guest houses for our family and extended family. Frankly, it was the biggest disappointment I have experienced to date. We had several catered dinners and most of the food COULD BE... More

A pleasant quiet place to stay, we always face the pond. I agree on the updating but it is indeed accommodating to the guest. Housekeeping is wonderful and ladies will bend over backwards to help you. We have been staying in this Inn for about three years. Have stayed at the lodge which by the way really needs updating in... More

I was here for a conference where everyone else was staying at The Williamsburg Lodge next door. When I saw PHG was across the street, I was ok with staying "off site" from everyone else. It felt like I was in a communist block dormitory from 1950. Very architecturally cold with few amenities. The room was huge and very outdated.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in October celebrating our anniversary, as we've stayed here before. Love the huge rooms. Requested a quiet room on the second floor facing the pond. We had no problem climbing the stairs. Found the room spotless, had the fireplace lit for us every night, and bought a package which included a fabulous breakfast at... More

The room was incredibly disappointing. It looked more like a 2 star Holiday Inn than what the Website listed as a "Premium" option. The bathroom was dingy. The bedroom had a poor set up. The paint was peeling off the wall. There were no nice amenities in the room. The towels were dirty and small. There were no robes. To... More

Although I went to Providence Hall April 2012, I dont remember many details like the room number. I do know it was on the 2nd floor. The hotel has 3 floors, but had no elevator. The hotel was quiet and nice and clean. The room was pretty large, much bigger than a standard hotel room with a king bed. There's... More

For the package rate ($300+ a night) over Thanksgiving, my expectations were of a better property, perhaps somewhat in the Hyatt or Marriott class. Instead, the room matches a middling Holiday Inn in quality, with a 50% larger room size a noticeable bonus. First, however, if you have any mold allergies, I suggest you carefully inspect your room before the... More

The Inn itself is lovely, and the staff is welcoming Nd responsive, but Providence Hall, until it finishes its scheduled refurbishment, is a bit disappointing. There are no elevators, so hauling stuff up to the second floor is a bit of a pain. The rooms feel a bit musty and the air conditioner is so loud that I as forced... More
