My wife and I celebrated with a stay at Wedmore Place last week and loved it. Friendly staff. Rooms were larger than standard hotel with sitting space in front of the wood-burning fireplace, which we throughly enjoyed for 2-3 hours. You can find cheaper accomodations in Williamsburg but Wedmore is moderately priced and definitely worth it. Williamsburg Winery is only... More

We stayed in mid-December on a Monday & a Tuesday. We found all of the staff to be very attentive and eager to be of assistance. I can understand the comments about problems with the fireplaces. The first night we had difficulty getting a good draft and because there were so few guests we could leave our door open to... More

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at the Wedmore Place this past weekend. Both of the restaurants were closed but Marryanne the manager went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. I would also recommend does the reserved wine tour while you are there as well.

This is an inn, with a French restaurant serving a complimentary Continental breakfast (quite good) and dinner (good but far too expensive; reservations advisable.) The inn attempts to replicate the experience of a Provençal relais and has been constructed to look like one, complete with an antique fountain in the center of a cobbled courtyard. The rooms are new, clean,... More

I've stayed at Wedmore Place twice now, both times in the winter and in a different room each time, and have to say that I truly love how comfortable and inviting it is. I truly love the fact that they will graciously offer to start your fire upon arrival and are more than happy to give you a tour and/or... More

My friends and family booked approximately 80% of this hotel for my wedding. And everyone who stayed at this hotel enjoyed their experience immensely! Marianne Postma-Harris, the hotel manager, was an absolute gem and a total delight who met our every need and rose above and beyond the call of duty! The hotel is located just next door to the... Great wine themed hotel in Williamsburg Va. Small B&B like chateau hotel nestled in Williamsburg Winery vineyards. Rooms furnished with antiques and quiet. Location is removed from tourist area traffic but surprisingly close to historic area. Only negative was that the ice machine was broken. Very attentive staff. Would be great for honeymoon or romantic getaway for all ages.

First of all, the employees we met were all kind and accommodating. The bed was very nice. That is where our praise ends, unfortunately. The facility seems to be suffering from some serious infrastructure issues. The parking lot is a pothole nightmare. The furnishings are tired. There were cobwebs in the corners of our room. The towels were motel-quality. The shower... More

A lovely inn with a great New Year's Eve dinner and ball event. A few details to note - the room #11 was beautiful, however, you could hear the clear conversations of the people in the room next door, the water running above and people walking upstairs. So quiet it was not. Perhaps a room on the 3rd floor, end... More

We stayed last night with our infant son. Our baseline expectation for a night away is a good night of sleep, and Wedmore Place failed miserably. Around 11 pm or so we started smelling smoke, and not from our own fireplace. It grew stronger until we became concerned for our baby and ourselves breathing it in. We contacted the front... More
