We stayed for 3 nights for a mini vacation in the area, and had a deluxe cabin. There were a couple of concerns with our particular cabin- an extreme and obvious amount of water damage along the entire front door and window area- so much so the floor was really weak, mildew stained, and I was concerned about walking on... We went with friends for the koa rewards weekend and were happy to find a pancake breakfast on the Saturday morning. When my husband went to buy firewood he was charged $20 for one bag of wood. I couldn't believe it. When I went to question how much the wood was per bag and was told 6.50 I asked why... More

This is one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in. The cabins were super clean, mattresses comfy (not usually the case when camping!), grounds were quiet and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning!

We stayed four nights for a mini vacation. We opted for a 2 room deluxe cabin to sleep all 5 of us. There were enough beds, they were comfortable. The cabin itself had air conditioning, a full bath room, a queen bed, 2 bunks and a futon. The kitchen has a college size refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster (that didn't work)... More

We stay at a lot of campgrounds. This was quiet other than one night a little dog barked all night long while we tried to enjoy our camp fire. We didn't use any of the amenities because we went to the area attractions.

There are a ton of sites cramed into the campground. Mostly are rockey and small, but it is a private campground, not a state park. The pool was really nice as well as the bouncing area. The staff are really great. It is nice and close to the attractions, and just down the road from easy shopping and dining areas.

Stayed at this KOA for three days while we visited Busch Gardens and Water Country. Stayed in a Kabin because I was nervous about pulling a camper so far... One room kabin was exactly what I expected, not bad at all...relatively close to bathhouse. Quiet. Believe the price was high for a one room kabin without a bathroom. Koa also... More

We always appreciate campers sharing their experience at our campground. We're happy to hear you had a good time with us and in the Williamsburg Area. We apologize for any confusion regarding our pricing. While the website does not individually specify each of the charges that make up the total, it does give you the whole price including fees when... More

Mostly gravel roads and camp sites. The sites in area D were mostly not level and the first site we were assigned we couldn't level our Class A motorhome. We did level in site D28, however there was not a lot of space to put out chairs, the grill was filthy dirty and there was a sewer hook up next... More

Two parts to this review: first, the actual campground. Then, my eco-concerns... The campground is beautiful, and there is a fantastic nature hike to the other park (colonial KOA, which is better for kids if you have any with you). With a dead turtle decaying by the side of the road that was sad. But the trail is really beautiful.... More

Thank you for camping with us and sharing your experience. We're very glad to hear you enjoyed the campground and the amenities we offer. As to the fish fence, that is a measure we have taken to protect not harm the fish. As the fish swim into the lake they become trapped in a deep pocket of water with no... More

We stayed here for three nights. We were very impressed with the staff showing us to our site (tent) and then being more than willing to show us other available sites when we weren't overly excited about the location of our first offered site. All the sites were clean, very good sized. The activities offered were fun and the locations... More
