No microwave, fridge, hairdryer, coffee maker. Rooms were old, bathroom was in sad shape. Tile was dirty, tub was dirty, tub held water when you showered. We got what we paid for. The only perks were the price and location, and the pool. Next time I will spend a little more to get a little more, though. more

We just got back from a vacation in willamsburg in which we stayed at this hotel. We were pleasently surprised. The rooms were clean other than a few stains on the rug.No bugs. The beds were comfortable and the the microwave and fridge (available upon request) was a definite plus.We didnt have the problems some of the other people did... more

Needed a room in Williamsburg for a two-day vacation of the Historic District and through various hotel websites found a bargain with the Econo Lodge. Pulling up to the motel gave an impression of a former Howard Johnson just from the building's design, but looked decent from the outside. Room was clean, including carpets, linens, bathroom and the like. However,... more

If you like ANT and SPIDERS this is the place for you. There were spider webs all over the sliding door handle. Ants on the table playing with the spiders. Until the ants wanted to play on me. The bathroom was nasty. This will be a good place for a inmate from a prison. Because thsy have it better in... more

This "hotel" is the worst I have ever seen. We arrived at 2:00 a.m. from a 6 hour drive. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Check-in took 2 minutes. When we got to the room we didn't even know where to turn. We got a room with 2 full beds, of which one was undone with the cover and... more

We stayed at the Econo Lodge in mid July 2007. The hotel is not a bad one just needs a little updating. The rooms were bigger than I expected them to be. The one nice thing is you can't hear your neighbor next door if they are loud (we had friends with us that's kids were yelling all the time).... more

Our complaints were several: 1. There was a dead cockroach under our bed 2. There were holes in the sheets 3. The mattresses were very uncomfortable 4. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room 5. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall 6. Advertised hair dryers and coffee makers in all rooms. Our room offered no such amenities 7.... more

my husband and i stayed here for a weekend getaway. are there nicer lodings? of course there are, but why pay a higher price for polite staff, clean rooms and a comfortable bed. our experience was a pleasant one. the ac in our room did not work well, so we let the front desk know. within 15 minutes a manager... more

One word, DISGUSTING! Got the Air Spray and Disinfecting Wipes from the car, Used. Took a shower with my sandals. Blanket smelled like cigarettes. Didn't lied down on the bad until I was so exhausted that I could not avoid going to sleep any longer. Got out of that place as soon as I could, and immediately booked a different... more

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. Nothing fancy but the rates were very reasonable. The rooms were larger than we normally get at more expensive hotels. Good value for the money. We will be staying here again. more
