We were worried before we arrived because the reviews are all over the place on Trip Advisor. But our unit is lovely. Clean, nicely decorated, comfortable. The sheets and towels are good quality, the kitchen is amazingly well-stocked. The water pressure in the showers could strip paint, but it certainly beats the alternative. The mattresses are a little soft, and... More

Disappointed. The resort area had lovely grounds. Nice amenities. However, immediately after check in you're invited to "concierge" to give you your welcome package. Be prepared. Next comes your sales pitch for their time share. So immediately what starts as a great feeling of wonderful customer service is soured. We made it to our rooms. Housekeeping was still cleaning, awkward for... More

Just had a 2 night stay here as a stop-over on our way to our final destination in Myrtle Beach. We love the resort because of its quaint characteristics and location away from the traffic and crowds of the Colonial area and tourist attractions. Yet, it is still close to most of the places we visit. For a long time,... More

We have stayed at this resort numerous times throughout the year. We were in unit 106D and we're very happy. It is the end unit, upstairs with lots of privacy. This was our first trip where we were able to use the pool and completely loved it. There are four pools, one for adults, one for anybody, 3 to 4... More

This was a genuine surprise, as the site has this Historical Manor home on the original grounds, and all of the comforts of home. History tours of the home, as well as Ghost tours were offered by staff which were very educational. Plenty of pool space including an adult pool. Full service restaurant and activities center, this place has it... More

My family and I went down for an extended weekend and stayed at the resort. The grounds are nice and amenities (pools, mini golf, etc) were decent. The room however was definitely in need of renovation. The walls were marked up, the furniture and TVs were dated, the bathrooms needed a refurbish (new caulk, grout, etc). The amount of space... While visiting Busch Gardens and Historic Williamsburg, our family always books a stay at Powhatan Resort. For the money, you get an entire codo versus just a small cramped hotel room. Perfect for a long weekend stay or longer. With a fully equipped kitchen, you can save money by preparing some meals each day rather than going out to eat.... More

6 of us crammed into a 2 BR 2 Bath Condo was a bit of a challenge. Came for a nearby engagement party of a relative and found the Resort convenient to local shopping and Restaurants. Short ride into Downtown Williamsburg make this a good choice for visitors wanting a good historic experience. The Pool was very nice and well... More

The hotel room needed updates but was fine for our visit. It had a nice loft area with 2 twin beds. The grounds and pool area were clean and nice. Staff were nice but I would not say extremely welcoming. The sales pitch for timeshares was the downside of the trip. Not worth the time or 125.00 in visa cards.... More

I do not own a timeshare or have any interest in them and the resort staff has respected my decision having only lightly pressed me to attend a presentation three times in one week - I say this because I was expecting to be harassed. On to the resort itself: Beautiful grounds Fun pools Polite staff Convenient location Unit I... More
