We stayed at the "Historic Powhatan Resort" over Christmas this year with extended family. We had 3 units, 2 upper and 1 lower. All of the units were very tired, outdated and really worn down. The upper and lower units share a lockout door with seperate entrances. These doors are the loudest doors on the planet. They are metal and... more

While this is marketed as a resort, it wasn't much better than a regular hotel. For the price (even with a discount), I could have done better. In particular, I paid extra for the Executive Suite with hot tub. When we got to the room, the hot tub temperature setting was on LOW and the water was ~50 degrees F.... more

Extended our week's stay at Colonial Williamsburg by (2) days by renting this unit off of Redweek, and was mildly disappointed by the downgrade from staying at their sister resort @ Greensprings. The two resorts have very little in common except for sharing the Diamond International ownership name. Thankfully we stayed at Greensprings first for 7-days, so the 2-days here... more

From when we stepped foot into the Powhatan the staff was extreamly helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Our first floor unit was nice a bit dated but had several nice features, hot tub was great, carpet needed to be replace but bathroom was done nicely. We had a light out... more

The quick summary: This was our second and LAST visit to Powhatan! With so many beautiful properties in the area, Powhatan simply isn't worth it, at least, not in the winter (the pool is cool in the summer). The only real plus: it was quiet and we didn't hear our neighbors. My brother-in-law is an RCI owner at another resort,... more

These resort is absolutely terrible. We were hit with a snowstorm on our way and was unable to make it. I called to get my refund. First the manager on duty, (barbara) said we checked in, then when that was cleared 40minutes later. They refused the refund although it was due to inclement weather. more

This is our second trip to this resort. We thought last year was a fluke and let things slide. Apparently not. Last year the unit was not ready and had the TV blaring, the tile on the hearth torn out and tools strewn in the Living Room. There were holes in the wall in the Master Bdrm and the Master... more

We stayed at the Powhatan and everything was excellent. I called the week before and asked for an updated room. It had granite counter tops, new mattresses, air conditioning, hot tub. Very nice. We needed extra bedding for the fold our couch and it was delivered within 10 minutes of calling the front desk. We enjoyed the Martha Washington breakfast... more

Awesome weekend in Williamsburg while staying with four young children at the Powhatan Resort. Great location and spacious accomodations. We were lucky to get a newly upgraded unit with luxurious furnishings and beds, granite countertops, and nice decor. Pretty nice indoor pool. Recommend asking for a newly renovated unit. We stayed for less than $70.00 per night by finding a... more

We exchanged our RCI for a week at this resort. The check in took forever and we were given a unit that was older and in need of remodeling badly. The facility was clean and the amenities were lacking. The kitchen needed a major make over. The dishwasher had a melted top rack and the bottom rack looked like it... more
