My husband and I visited the charming Williamsburg Sampler the weekend before Thanksgiving, when we celebrated our anniversary. We had a friendly welcome from Ike, who was so helpful with hints on what to do in town, which restaurants to visit, etc. The Sampler itself was like stepping back in time--so many interesting antiques and decorative items--yet nicely appointed with... Our stay at the Williamsburg Sampler was the best experience of our many bed and breakfast experiences. From the moment Ike met us at the door to our leaving, everything exceeded our expectations. Very clean, with interesting decor, the Sampler is special. Comfortable beds, well appointed rooms, and a breakfast that was bountiful and delicious, all were a part of... More

This review is probably more like 3 1/2 stars, but there isn't an option for that. I debated going back between 3 and 4 stars. We like staying at bed and breakfasts when we go away, so I always look at Tripadvisor before booking. The Bentley Manor was already booked full, so we decided on the Sampler. Ike was a... More

Thank you for your review. The Williamsburg Sampler Bed and Breakfast is a Colonial home in Williamsburg, filled with nostalgic history and an Innkeeper longing to share as much of that history as you would like to learn! Yes, some of the bathrooms are smaller than ones in newer homes but we anticipate that our guests will be captivated with... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Williamsburg Sampler Bed and Breakfast over the long Veterans Day weekend. It was our first stay at this lovely bed and breakfast, and we were so glad we stayed there. The location, less than a mile from Colonial Williamsburg, was perfectly suited for walking to nearly everything we wanted to do. The house... More

A southern delight awaits at this charming inn. Only second in location to being in the old town itself, the Williamsburg Sampler is a treat-of-a-walk (a mile or so) through one of the oldest university campuses in the U.S. to get to Colonial Williamsburg. Or a 3-minute drive will give you several parking lot options. Though built to period, the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Williamsburg Sampler. Ike, the proprietor, was a wonderful host and we enjoyed spending time with him. The accommodations were comfortable and clean; we felt very much at home. Lovely breakfast assortment each morning. Close to the Colonial Williamsburg Historic District.

This b&b is in a great location for visiting Old Williamsburg. It's close to restaurants and a great jump off point for other area attractions. Breakfasts were fabulous, and our host was helpful and pleasant. Our room was quite comfortable and well appointed. There is a great game room on the lower level.

Ike is the proprietor of a bed and breakfast that is a museum of his travels. He loves his guests. He is a font of local knowledge. We felt at home. Breakfast was wonderful. You won't be hungry. It is very close to Colonial Williamsburg.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming B & B. The John Smith suite was very comfortable (bathroom perhaps a little on the small side), the breakfasts generous and tasty, the free coffee and water welcome. Ike was a good host, with an uncanny ability to judge what the weather was going to do! The feel of the house... More

We spent four nights at the Williamsburg Sampler and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Although we didn't have a car the location was still excellent: about half an hour walk from the train station and an easy twenty minutes to the historic precinct. Our room, the Prince William Suite, was gorgeous with a comfortable king bed; reasonably sized en-suite; sitting... More
