The owners of this motel are a family. I have been coming to this property since 2007. They have offered constantly excellent service and accommodation. The continental breakfast is excellent. One of the nicest aspects of this property is that you can literally walk to the restored area. There are several restaurants in walking distance as well as a 7-11.

I chose the Lodge for the location. Its so close to the colonial area, that you never need to use your car. We stayed in the Nicholas building, which was directly across from the lobby. The room was clean and attractive. Unfortunately, the staff knocked on our door 4 times during our 3 night stay. Three of those times they... More

The Lodge Lounge - bar and tavern food: I was so disappointed with both the food and the service that I have to ask "Has Colonial Williamsburg gone downhill?" Let's hope not! The management should have anticipated a busy night at the Lounge - there was live music and it's Grand Illumination weekend. However, the place was short staffed at... More

You can find cheaper lodgings for your visit to Williamsburg, but please consider paying more and staying at the Williamsburg Lodge. Everything is attractive, period-inspired, comfortable, the service is impeccable, the food in Traditions Restaurant very good and reasonably priced. One walks a short distance to many historic village locations, and a package offers reduced admission rates for the length... More

I stayed at the hotel while attending a conference at the onsite conference center. Check in was quick and easy, however, finding our room from the parking garage was confusing and a bit frustrating juggling luggage and room keys to get in and out of the different buildings. The rooms are located in different buildings and finding yours in the... More

We stayed here for a conference and mini vacation for a week. The hotel rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was wonderful. We spent a day off touring colonial Williamsburg and enjoyed a carriage ride (don't miss it!) and an evening ghost tour. On our second vacation day we went to Busch Gardens and behaved like... More

Our whole family met here for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! The hotel and grounds were lovely. The staff was extremely friendly, from the doorman to reception and housekeeping. We even needed an extra room at the very last minute, and I mean 7:00 at night, and they were able to find one for us in the South Building,... More

The Lodge is our favorite hotel in Williamsburg. Have stayed here 5 times; our most recent in October (2014). The staff are great! We choose to stay in the "out buildings" since the rooms are larger than the main lodge. You are in the "middle" of everything..we park our car and never see it till it is time to return... More

We stayed in the South Guesthouse, one of several building housing over 300 rooms. We were also here with a "Holiday Getaway" package, which included admission tickets. You need to understand that the Lodge was opened in 1939, and underwent a rebuilding/renovation in 2006. Our second floor room included a very comfortable queen bed, a somewhat cramped bathroom, and wood... More

I've stayed in the Wiliamsburg Lodge several times, some for business and other times for pleasure. The Lodge and it's rooms are fantastic and the friendly and courteous staff are always appreciated, especially at the end of a long day! I highly recommend the Lodge to all travelers!
