We stayed here for two nights and found the property to be in good condition. There was a free breakfast included daily with the hotel stay. Room rates were reasonable and the hotel is located close to Colonial Williamsburg. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and well-maintained. We stayed on the first floor, which I would recommend... More

If you are looking for a budget place to stay within the Colonial Williamsburg area, the Governor's Inn is the place to stay. Very quiet, helpful front-desk attendants. We were very satisfied with our stay. Our room was clean. This motel is showing its age, but was good for us. The continental breakfast was good with basic choices. We would... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 days in this hotel for our birthday celebrations and we find the room very pleasant. You have to walk a bit though for breakfast area but they serve variety of food. For 2 days, they serve different breakfast. The staffs are very friendly offering coffee and cookies.

We stayed here for our long weekend in Colonial Williamsburg. It was a basic, no frills room but it was clean which makes it a keeper in our book. We were only a short walk and 3 blocks from the Colonial City so we didn't always have to drive to the visitor center to catch the free bus. You had... More

Staying at the Governor's Inn is kind of like stepping back in time-- circa 1975. Popcorn ceilings anyone? I only stayed for one night and was glad I had not booked it for more. The digital alarm clock looked like the one my grandfather had when I was a kid. The room was clean, but on the small side and... More

We recently stayed at the Governor's Inn for three nights. We had stayed here approximately four years ago. Not much has changed in those four years, especially the bed covers. The sheets were white and new, which was encouraging. However, the bedspread had not obviously been changed since there were "stains" on it that were not just stains but were... More

With a daughter at the College of William and Mary we have stayed here several times recently and I am sure will stay here many times in the future. I am glad to support Colonial Williamsburg and stay at their" budget" accommodation. It is wonderful to be able to walk to campus or any where in CW. Breakfast is an... More

I have stayed at hundreds of hotels. This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. EVER. We arrived late and had to drive to another hotel to check in. Then our room was disgusting. Burn marks on the gross blankets, stains on the floor, dead bugs, holes in the walls, strong mold smell, scary sounding AC. It... More

My family stayed at the Governors Inn for 5 days. The absolutely most important part of travel for my family is to stay in a clean, bug free hotel. The rooms are VERY clean, the beds comfortable and there were plenty of clean, large towels for a family of 4 with teenagers. It was a great stay for a very... More

I spent one night of a 2-night Williamsburg stay at the Governor's Inn, and wish I'd spent both nights here because of the location. Once I checked in, I didn't need to drive anywhere until I checked out and left town! Colonial Williamsburg, the William & Mary campus, and numerous places to eat and shop are all within a short...
