My husband and I stayed here when we went to water country USA. This was truly a pleasant experience. The rooms are roomy, and nothing special! The price was very reasonable like the rest of the Williamsburg hotels. The breakfast was nothing to write home about but it wasn't bad either. Huge plus, you get free event tickets when you... More

It had been a long time since I had stayed at the Governor's Inn and while it is still good it is in need of a facelift. On the plus side the staff, as with almost all Colonial Williamsburg staffers, was very good. We were there for the Christmas holiday and you can pick up the special program tickets right... More

We stayed at the Governor's Inn for one night. We needed a place to sleep for the one night, had planned to tour Colonial Williamsburg the next day, then proceed to the next stop on our vacation. This is not a fancy hotel, its price was average, but what it does is done very well. The woman taking the reservation... More

We live in Richmond, so we heard all kind of nice things about Colonial Williamsburg , so we decided to go to that amazing place for the thanksgiving weekend, very busy roads and shops, and hotel are booked in advance close to the old town, so Governon's Inn was the only option for us. Yes, we didnt expect any great... More

the Governor's Inn provided the bare essentials. The PROS are that it is comparable in price to other places. And staying here got us over $50 off our ticket price to a couple days in Williamsburg. Also, had we been up for it, you can walk to Williamsburg, going first through the cute little downtown area (which is not part... More

We booked this Inn for 4 days. Room newly remodeled, CLose to EVERYTHING. Could have walked but chose to use bus system. Great price for the location. The front Desk gal MERRY was exceptional in terms of helping us figure out all we wanted to do. She even helped us find our way HOME. Gloria the Breakfast gal was delightful... More

I'm absolutely amazed at the positive ratings for this joke of a property. Where do I start? First of all, don't let the name fool you, this is not an Inn. It is an old motel with a coat of paint right next to a **working** train track. There is no internet, the TV is a relic, the carpet is... More

This hotel is no-frills but clean...but what's great is that you can park here and walk to all of the sights. Also, and this isn't clear on the Colonial Williamsburg website, you get a 25% discount on admission to the sights. A good breakfast is included, too.

Is it the newest brightest penny ? No - but we have stayed here at least 5 times - and here's why - the rooms are clean - decent breakfast - great location - reasonable price - but the big reason is the Staff - they are all so warm and friendly!!! We stayed there Oct. 13 checked out Oct.... More

The room was ok. Fortunately I was at the quiet end away from the pool open until 10pm. The breakfast was awful. Cold hard boiled eggs and junk. Then two days out of four with no eggs? Really? No transport from the hotel to historic Williamsburg. You have to pay extra at one of their more expensive properties to get... More
