This hotel has an excellent location right next to Colonial Williamsburg. The price was great and VERY affordable for a small family traveling on a budget and looking for a nice place to stay. We have found that, for the price, this hotel is MUCH cleaner and well maintained than most any other hotel in this range in Williamsburg (and... More

The Inn is not a fancy place and lacks some updating but the room was very clean, the shower had great pressure, the continental breakfast was basic but good and the staff did a great job in helping to make our stay very good. Excellent staff! If you are on vacation why pay the high price to spend a few... More

My sister and I stayed at The Lodge for 3 nights immediately before our stay here, so a comparison is inevitable and unfortunate. That said, there were several unhappy surprises that attended our 5-night stay at the Governor's Inn. It is several blocks away from the closest bus stop. There were no connecting means of transportation if you don't have... More

I wish that I could give a better report. The location and rates were pretty much unbeatable (didn't see a motel closer to town), but the room was worn and we experienced a couple of problems: bugs in the bathroom and water seepage on the carpet from an unknown source in the wash/dressing area. But I must say that the... More

Generally, this was a nice stay but with one or two flaws. The bottom sheet was too short to be tucked in at both ends. Our first night found the top sheet and blanket tucked in at the foot so far that we had to pull it out in order to have adequate covers. This pulled out the bottom sheet... More

Motel style complex. Outdoor entrance to all rooms. The room was very clean with 2 double beds. Bath with tub and shower, also very clean. This is a very affordable place to stay if you don't care much about bells and whistles. We are usually out of our rooms more than in them so we care more about a clean... More

Great location and value. Very clean and safe location. Continental breakfast included. Can't beat it for 70 bucks a night. Housekeeping supervisor did a great job of keeping track of staff. Was in the room around 1-2 pm and she was on top of it. Yes it is an older property but is kept up well. Location and the ability... More

The hotel's location is very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and The College of William & Mary. The rooms are average and overall the hotel could use an update. Continental breakfast was included and it was the usual - cereal, oatmeal, bagels, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was surprised that the hotel is listed along with the other... More

We were making a quick visit to Williamsburg, arriving late one night and leaving early in the morning after the second night. So we decided to stay at the Governor's Inn, knowing it was an older property and the shuttle bus no longer makes stops here. The front office staff was pleasant and gave us directions to our room. We... More

This is a clean, basic motel. Not as fancy as the other CW properties, but also it is less expensive. It is a very close walk to the market area and the historic district. Loads of close in parking. Comfortable two full beds. Chairs for sitting and watching TV and a desk for working.
