I was looking for an economical place to stay for one night. From what I could tell from all the Williamsburg hotel reviews, this was my place: it was one the cheapest, didn’t look like it should be condemned and sounded clean. It was, for the most part, all of those things. But a few aspects left a bad impression.... More

Here now and currently looking for other accomodations. The lobby is very dated and shabby - that got me worried but I held out hope. Stepped into room and was overcome with the stench of mold. Carpet mismatched where peice was cut out. The room is dated and walls are scuffed. Carpet feel damp under foot and there are stains... More

If you want a VERY VERY clean room two turns off of rt. 60 and minutes from everything, this is the place. Fridge & coffee maker enough for two cups in each room (if you want more bring tea bag style coffee bags), coffee offered w/continental breakfast, usual sugar cereal choices and crispy cream donuts. rooms could use brighter light... We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed our time. We stayed in back on first floor by staircase. A few mornings at 7:30 some people stood on balcony nearby talking and smoking but we overlooked it since we liked this value hotel so much. You do hear voices from outside and some sounds from other rooms but it wouldn't deter... More

I am usually very picky of where I stay but we were pleasantly surprised at this Econo Lodge. Contrary to many other reviews I have read, the room I stayed in was very clean and everything worked properly. We first made reservations for one night but decided to stay one extra. The staff worked things out so we could stay... More

I am usually cautious about staying at Econo Lodges, however this hotel was a pleasant surprise! The location is great and the price was right ($37). This hotel won a Gold Hospitality Award from Choice Hotels, and it shows. I checked in and was greeted by the gm. He was very polite and accommodating. The room was at the rear... More

My husband and I stayed here for a few days during the last week of May '09. We went down to VA for some hiking and biking and to enjoy Busch Gardens. We arrived around 3pm and were able to get into our room right away. The room itself was pretty spacious, the bathroom was very small, but no big... More

We live about an hour away but were in Williamsburg for an athletic tournament. With an early start time for day two, we decided to stay overnight and for this price it was worth the savings in gas and in sleep! Be careful, there are two Econo Lodges on Parkway Drive. This one has the "Gold" award from Choice hotels.... More

We decided to go on a weekend getaway to Busch Gardens and was looking for a budget rate. Okay, now for some information Room - clean basic no frills but you do have a fridge Bathroom - very small but it does the job - shower head not strong and age showing in tub area Breakfast - very basic -... Place is just outside of the Historic District. Good location, excellent price. Room and site was clean. Breakfast was simple and a very few choices, 2 cereals, fruit, juice, milk and some doughnuts. Owner was nice. Don't expect a big room, fluffy pillows or room service. We just wanted a place to sleep, shower, get a breakfast and hit the... More
