Place is just outside of the Historic District. Good location, excellent price. Room and site was clean. Breakfast was simple and a very few choices, 2 cereals, fruit, juice, milk and some doughnuts. Owner was nice. Don't expect a big room, fluffy pillows or room service. We just wanted a place to sleep, shower, get a breakfast and hit the... more

Good, convenient location for the historic district. Clean rooms. Very rude manager/owner. Wouldn't stay there again. Michal Babilas, Poznan, Poland more

This hotel was definitely worth the price paid for it. The room and bathroom were clean-. However, there was a large spot on the sheets when we arrived. We called the front desk, and they immediately replaced them. The sheet incident and poor water pressure in the shower are the only complaints I have about this hotel. But again the... more

My husband and I stayed at the Econo Lodge Colonial for 4 days in May '06. We loved the price and how close we were to the attractions of Williamsburg. The room was clean and decent, however, it had a musty smell. We were so happy that we had brought some scented oil to burn just in case we were... more

We stayed at this Econolodge for 4 days. Since we are rarely in our rooms when we are on vacation, all we look for is a clean room, with a good location at a fair price. This motel fit the bill -- the room was clean, the staff very helpful with directions on getting around Williamsburg and other local attractions.... more

This was't the first time staying here, and probably won't be the last. Found the hotel clean, the staff friendly. Found nicer furniture in the room than one would expect at an Econlodge. We like the pool, altho it is small, and the wooded lot gives the place a rural country feel. We enjoyed having 2nd Street Pub next door,... more

We stayed at the Econolodge Colonial for three nights. Our choices were limited because we went the day after July 4th. The room was spotlessly clean, check in was a breeze and our prepaid tickets for Williamsburg and Jamestown and Yorktown were waiting for us. I booked the hotel at GoWilliamsburg about 3 weeks in advance. The room was $64.00... more

Good points: The rate is almost half the typical Williamsburg rate. No frills but the room was clean including the bathroom which is very important to us. Plenty of towels, etc. Very convenient and quiet side street location. This is one of the closest hotels to the Colonial Village, and practically has its own entrance to the Colonial Parkway to... more

My husband and I stayed there for one night in August, 2004. The continental breakfast was just ok. The outdoor pool opened a little too late--10:00 am, and check-out is 11:00 am. We picked this particular location because of the pool and couldn't make use of it. We found several centipedes in the room. There were restaurants within walking distance... more

My stay at this motel in May, 2004, was an enjoyable one. Clean room, quiet area, a good choice for an Econo Lodge in Williamsburg. Not too far from Busch Gardens and has a breakfast restaurant nearby. I would stay there again. more
