Although this hotel is somewhat dated , the facilities are very well maintained and the staff is exceptional. An added plus is the proximity of the hotel to the historic district and shopping/ dining options. For groups of 50 or fewer, the hotel allows the use of the Hospitality room at no cost . The room is the best our... More

We arranged a Presidents' Day weekend at short notice. This proved to be the most convenient hotel for Colonial Williamsburg - it's within easy walking distance. The hotel is also a good deal less expensive than many other hotels in the area, and nearer to the sights. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, the staff exceptionally friendly and... We had a reservation to stay this weekend in Williamsburg. I was looking forward to spend some time with my family away from home. We arrived Friday evening. We checked in and got a room in the 4th floor. On our way to the elevator I noticed a weird smell on the 2nd floor hallway, but I let it go.... More

My husband and I and opted for one more night in Williamsburg after my conference but didn't want to spend the fortune on the conference hotel so to save money we chose to switch hotels for our last night. This was our first mistake. Our second mistake was reading the choice hotel reviews instead of the tripadvisor reviews like we... More

I am sorry we could not meet your needs. The hotel you came from at your conference charges 250 a night and we are a midtear hotel at 89 dollars a night. We are not going to be able to compete with the size of those rooms. Our pool has a closed enterence directly beside the elevator so there is... More

Every thing was very clean.......We picked the hotel because they said they had a hot tub....it was out of order the 3 days we were there ....the room had many maintenance blemishes and half a** repairs.........Maintenance, management & ownership just doesn't care

I am very sorry about the Hot tub motor not being fixed. It went out on Christmas Eve. I had maintenance remove motor and I personally drove it to the repair shop during the holiday traffic. The motor was not able to be repaired and needed replacing. I did order immediately but unfortunately due to holidays we were at the... More

We stayed a night here due to the short walking distance to colonial Williamsburg. The room was quite nice and in line with the price. We travel with our dog and had a room on the first floor. The room was clean and there was certainly no dog or mold odor. We did not use the pool. We did order... More

My wife and I were attending an event in town, and decided to use my free night from Choice Hotels to stay over and do a little exploring and shopping in the area. We arrived at 2 PM, and were greeted by a very nice woman, whom I didn't get her name. She was so nice and greeted me as... More

Thanks you for the great comments. Coming from a senior reviewer with trip advisor makes the comments mean that much more. I am sorry that there were not more trains passing to bring back the pleasant memories (CSX) but as you can understand we do not often get a comment of this nature. There used to be many more tracks... More

Second stay this year! Although the facility is a little older than many in the Williamsburg are the hospitality ,location to the colonial area , and cleanliness have been my best experience in ever while visiting Williamsburg. All the employees I dealt with even passing in the hall or parking lot where cheerful and eager to be of assistance! Great... More

I spent about 10 hours at the Clarion Williamsburg. Desk staff were nice and professional but room had visible mold and musty smell. There was also a loud portable dehumidifier in the room (152) running when I entered. See photos of mold and dehumidifier. I entered room at midnight. At about 130 am I begain vomiting horribly. I have rarely... More

I am very sorry for the bedspread. I inspected your room and did not find any signs of mold. But we do rotate bedspreads into the laundry for cleaning daily. I believe the picture and believe that the spread in your room was in our storage area. I have taken steps to ensure rotation of spreads on a FIFO schedule.... More

We attended a conference at this hotel and our rooms and meals were included in the price. On the positive side, the room was clean and the staff was courteous and friendly. The location is excellent and is just a short walk to the historic district. On the other hand, the carpets were stained, wall covering was old and dingy,... More

Thanks you for the kind words for my staff. I am sorry we fell short at the end of your visit. You will be happy to know that we did make a suggestion to the group you traveled with and they have upgraded the Thursday lunch to include a meat item.
