This is a dog friendly hotel very close to the historic district. Otherwise, I'm not overly impressed. No breakfast. Hallway full of barking dogs. Middle aged dance party going in the restaurant where the hostess abandoned her stand and no one came to seat me for 20 minutes. Coffee in the room but no tea. A little rundown and shabby.... More

Sorry about the service in the restaurant - I will talk with the owners and pass your concern along. The restaurant is a separate lease from the hotel but that does not mean I will not ensure they raise their standards. Thx Neal More

The rooms aren't very big but very comfortable and clean. Very nice and helpful staff. The Bourbon Street Bar and Grill was a fun place. Met a lot of very nice people. The location of the Clarion is very convenient to see all of Williamsburg.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December to see Historic Williamsburg decorations. Upon arrival they could not find our reservation which was made on line and we had our copy of the confirmation. Was told that check in was not until 4 PM, which I replied it is 2 minutes of 4 and this is a problem ? Upon... More

I am sorry about the hot water in the sink - not sure why it was working in the tub but not the sink - maintenance has checked and replaced the faucet with a new one just in case it had a bad hot water valve. I have checked the alarm and it has been ordered and will be replaced.... More

This is a basic hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Our Airbnb got canceled at the last minute. I was able to find this hotel, which took dogs and had adjoining rooms. Turned on the fan and my dog never heard a peep (she was also tired from touring Williamsburg). There were down/feather pillows, which some people like, but... More

Thanks for the great review. The pillows are brand standard and we have no problem replacing the feather with the poly pillow - I too have the same problem. We are reasonably priced but give excellent service. Thx Neal More

Very Helpful staff. Older but clean rooms. The pool was very good sized with plenty of sitting area. Coffee available 24 hrs in lobby was nice. Very convenient location for all area activities. overall not the fanciest, but good value.

I am very pleased your family had a great weekend. Our indoor pool stays 88 degrees year round and is a huge draw in the colder season. Look forward to your return. Thx Neal More

The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and there is a good dog sitter. Also, the indoor pool is very nice! although it need more ventilation because of the chlorine) the negatives are, the rooms are not soundproof, in fact you hear everyone going into and out of their rooms, the dogs went nuts. all the noise in the hallway,... Stayed at the Clarion for Thanksgiving. Very close to Colonial Williamsburg and Great Wolf Lodge. Lots of restaurants to choose from close by as well. The staff was friendly, especially Charles and Tasha. They went beyond the call of duty to make our stay enjoyable. There is coffee 24 hrs in the lobby, indoor pool and hot tub, and an... More

I have stayed at this particular Clarion numerous times with different scrapbooking groups. I was really DISAPPOINTED this time. Although the room was clean-looking, and the beds were as comfortable as ever, the room smelled of URINE.....instantly, as soon as you walked in, you were taken aback with the odor. It was NOT in the bathroom but in the room... More

We stayed here on the evening of October 11th, only because it was one of the few hotels with vacancies given our last-minute decision to stay in Williamsburg. In reading all of the negative reviews, I was very apprehensive about staying here. I have tried to be fair and balanced in my assessment: Pros: great location in Williamsburg, and a... More

Thanks you for an honest review. We are an older hotel and try hard with the service, location and sanitation. There are planned renovations to upgrade the items you mentioned. I will post on line when they happen and would hope after that you give us another try. The employees go above and beyond to serve our guest and would... More
