When I rec'd this hotel with my priceline bid, I was a bit nervous. Reading the reviews had me thinking we would be scrambling to find a new place. This hotel isn't brand new, and good use some updates, but I would stay again. When we checked in the person who helped us could not have been nicer. The other... more

Room 227-The smell was overwhelming -Smelled like a litter box (had to buy air spray); toilet OLD & disgusting; mattress must be original from Colonial days; slow wifi; hole in wall; hair on the bathroom door; carpets grundgy. They clearly spray in hallways to overcome musty moldy smells. Don't be fooled. Stay out of room 227! Also, who's heard of... more

This hotel is really run-down. I would never, never recommend anyone pay full price for this hotel. However, we paid a very low rate (under $60) through Priceline, and for that much of a deal, it was definitely do-able. For the purposes of this review, though, I am going to review the hotel as it was, forgetting the Priceline rate.... more

a few miles away from the major restuarants and shopping centers. Within walking distance to one of the entrances to Williamsburg. Hotel personel seemed nice enough. The pool was awesome, closed at 10pm which we thought was too early. This is not what we expected from a Clarion hotel. Run down property... needs some TLC! Paid around $80 a night... more

Staff was excellent. *****'s across the board. We looked at 2 rooms on 2 diffrent floors, and both were musty. Nice pool, filled with children of the employees. I went with my laptop, and both plugs for power were dead! Same noisey kids drove us from the pool. Location was great. Rooms stunk! more

First, I think we had a different room than most people who write reviews for this hotel. We had an efficency suite which is across the parking lot from the main bldg. It was great. Very large and clean with 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, small living/kitchen area. Beds were comfy, very quite here, could not hear the train that... more

My family and I decided to extend our vacation to Williamsburg at the last minute and got what we thought was a good deal from Priceline. (We had used Priceline for a hotel earlier in our trip and were very pleased.) However, we quickly learned the age old lesson, you get what you pay for! First, the positives: The hotel... more

Good welcome from desk staff when we arrived but room rather tired looking apart from the carpet which looked new. Hairdryer in bathroom very close to water supply for the basin and the attachment to the wall was loose so potentially dangerous. Towel rail rusty. Pool area far too hot to swim in, atmosphere more like a sauna. Having reached... more

They have a water leakage issue (air vac was in room); room was VERY musty, even with air on. Too many other nicer/price comparable hotels in the area to return to this one. I was also led to believe they have continental breakfast, they do not, only pay as you go. more

Like others, we were concerned when this hotel came up on Priceline. We had three rooms in total. For starters, location can't be beat. It's a 5 minute walk to Colonial Williamsburg or 5 minute drive to Busch Gardens. When we arrived, there was no musty smell, AC worked fine and front desk, while not the friendliest group, were at... more
