Though the price was right, the location was excellent, and the beds were comfortable, the hotel needs a lot of attention. The wallpaper was peeling, the tub was stained, grout was mildewed. The area outside the pool (tiled "breezeway" with lounge chairs) was absolutely filthy, with dirt, cigarette butts, and debris.

This is a basic hotel. Everything in my room seemed clean and the front desk people were nice. Soundproofing between rooms is not good. People next door had a loud argument and while I could not hear the words I could hear the voices. The heater / ac is very loud! It is a weird layout and hard to find... More

Stayed over a long weekend to visit Busch gardens with my husband and three kids. The hotel was ok; the rooms are showing their age and are in need of either a deep clean or an upgrade. The staff was pretty ambivalent to any requests or inquiries; one day after coming back from the park, we found that housekeeping had... More

Thank you for your comments. I will find out who said that we did not have breakfast - it is served from 8-11 daily. On next visit please let front desk know that train bothered you and we will happily place you in the front of the building. Thanks for the comments and I will address. Neal More

When we checked in they mistakenly had us down for a "pet friendly" room, but I'm allergic to cats, so they gave us a different room. It went downhill from there. It reeked of stale cigarette smoke, contrary to what I did request, and notwithstanding a "no smoking" sign placed in the room. The entire lock to the safe was... More

I am sorry you had a pet friendly room. It seems all went downhill from there for you. If you choose to give us another chance please email me direct and I will personally ensure a very pleasant visit on me. Neal More

Came here for a quick weekend getaway with the family. Pool was large but dirty. Dead bugs and food pieces everywhere. Hot tub was not hot, same temp as pool and it felt as though there was a film over your skin when you got out of pool. Room was clean but old. Website I bought room from states free... More

Last minute trip to Williamsburg on Easter weekend and wanted to avoid paying elevated prices so booked this hotel. Great location, can walk to Colonial Williamsburg area if you are in average shape. Room was generally clean and bed was surprisingly comfortable. Bathroom was small (very small) and outdated. We did kill a roach in bathroom but otherwise no problems.... More

Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed, free wifi. Great bar and bistro in hotel, popular with locals. Food hot and homemade. Great value. Some noise from rail tracks didn't bother us. Easy to walk into Williamsburg in 10 minutes, so saved time and money on parking. Loved our visit

This is a dog friendly hotel very close to the historic district. Otherwise, I'm not overly impressed. No breakfast. Hallway full of barking dogs. Middle aged dance party going in the restaurant where the hostess abandoned her stand and no one came to seat me for 20 minutes. Coffee in the room but no tea. A little rundown and shabby.... More

Sorry about the service in the restaurant - I will talk with the owners and pass your concern along. The restaurant is a separate lease from the hotel but that does not mean I will not ensure they raise their standards. Thx Neal More

The rooms aren't very big but very comfortable and clean. Very nice and helpful staff. The Bourbon Street Bar and Grill was a fun place. Met a lot of very nice people. The location of the Clarion is very convenient to see all of Williamsburg.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December to see Historic Williamsburg decorations. Upon arrival they could not find our reservation which was made on line and we had our copy of the confirmation. I am sorry about the hot water in the sink - not sure why it was working in the tub but not the sink - maintenance has checked and replaced the faucet with a new one just in case it had a bad hot water valve. I have checked the alarm and it has been ordered and will be replaced.... More
