The College of William & Mary purchased the property in the spring, and it is now a dorm. In fact, our child is living there now. It is very nice as a dorm, they changed very little. But it is no longer a hotel and it is not open to the public. For some reason,TripAdvisor does not want you to... More

Visiting the area for Memorial Day and decided to stay at here...to be honest I had a few doubts since I knew the hotel will be closing soon and wasn't sure if that would effect the cleanliness or service....the hotel staff was super helpful and friendly and the rooms were very clean and nice!!! I'm so glad I got to... More

I stayed there a couple times myself, and the staff were amazing; the room was clean and all. The food was also great; no complaints here. The question is what do the employess do now???....some have been there over 15 years and counting?? I just feel so sorry for those individuals. You all seem to not care about the whereabouts... Dear Totley3, Thank you for the kind words regarding our hotel and more specifically the staff here. While it certainly isn't the ideal situation for our team we do have help. The area hotels, timeshares, & restaurants have all reached out to our HR here to help absorb our team into their respective operations. The College has reached out to... More

Location is the only redeeming feature. Facility is tired, faded and fortunately, sold. It could have been something special. But when the owners chose not to put any money into upgrades, it really showed.

I came to Williamsburg Hospitality House for a conference and I loved it. Just sad that they sold this beautiful place to the college. Wonderful experience and excellent food! The colonial feel is really overwhelming especially when the locals visit!

There is no doubt that the Ho House is starting to appear a little frayed along the edges, but given that it has been sold to William and Mary for college housing in Fall 2013, this was not surprising. Even so, it was clean, parking is free, and it's a 5 min walk to Merchant Square in Colonial Williamsburg. I... More

I remember when this hotel was built back in the early 70's and how upscale it seemed then. I stayed there recently as part of a multi-day conference and thought about how it needed to be updated. Though clean, the hotel needed refurbishing in the decor department, at least in my room and the public spaces. I thought the staff... More

Dear MargaretVirginia_USA, Thank you for your kind words regarding our team. We've already had a handful of excited students & their families walking about trying to get a feel for what they can expect in the fall. Due to our team's attachment to the hotel we're happy that it will still be enjoyed in the coming years, albeit in a... More

With students at the College of William and Mary, there is no hotel with a better location. We stayed recently at the Colonial Williamsburg Lodge, but after considering the location, and the room just being a room (at DOUBLE the rate)...moved back over to the Hospitality House. Nobody stays in their room in Williamsburg, there is just TOO much to... More

Chosen by my client... told it was luxurious... um... not! The property is clean. The rooms are spacious. But it is a tired, old-style hotel in need of a makeover. The staff was very friendly and that is a strong positive. Even the parking garage was kind of weird. The restaurant in the hotel was extremely mediocre. My server was... More

Dear CryingMan, Thank you for the feedback on your stay. I do appreciate the kind words regarding my team and the cleanliness of the hotel. I would appreciate you reaching out to Kevin Dixon, my Food & Beverage Director, regarding your experience in the 415 Grill. I believe he responded via the review on 415 Grill.
