We decided to spend a second night in Little Washington last minute and the Middleton had a last minute cancelation so we had the pleasure of staying there (the night before we had stayed at Foster Harris House). This place is really special...it's like staying on a very, very nice farm. There is a beautiful yard, cats, dogs, horses, etc.... more

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay at The Middleton Inn in Washington, VA. We wish we were still there! We cannot say enough great things about this property, its owner and staff. The decor, rooms, etc are classic and elegant. The linens so soft and breakfast delicious and abundant! It really was a relaxing and peaceful... more

I just wanted to say how much fun Elaine and I had at your Inn. We are usually hotel people, but your place is quite different! So different, that the following weekend we were caught casting dispersions at the(name withheld to protect the innocent) in New Orleans, saying "there's no Fiji water like at Middleton's, it was everywhere". I would... more

Could only getaway for one night mid-week, as we had to get back to the kids, but it was worth every penny. Sure we could have stayed at the other Inn, but why would we, when we could have the cottage house all to ourselves. The cottage house is well worth the extra cost, as you can come and go... more

The setting is just so lovely - a large, beautiful converted home overlooking lovely lawns; barn complete with horse nearby; cats and bounding dogs (all outside) as a welcoming committee. When we arrived, we were offered a nice glass of wine in the sitting room, which gave us some time to chat with the other guests and start unwinding while... more

This was our ninth visit to the Middleton Inn, and it was so delightful that we are busy planning our tenth! As we drove up the hill to the beautiful Federal manor house, we saw horses grazing in the paddocks, and the owner's yellow labs coming to greet us. Being dog lovers, we were delighted to learn that two of... more

Perched on a hill overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, this B&B is as charming as it gets. The property has been beautifully restored, and the sitting and eating areas, both indoors and outdoors, for all guests to enjoy are cozy and welcoming. The bedrooms in the main house are spacious, comfortable and decorated with a terrific sense of style. The... more

My organization held a three day Retreat in the lovely little town of Washington and used the Middleton as our headquarters. We found the accommodations warm and inviting, the service outstanding, and the food delicious! Mary Ann Kuhn, the innkeeper, made a special effort to accommodate our unique needs, from helping us to find a location for a yoga class... more

My wife and I were attending a wedding in the area and the Middleton Inn was highly recommended. We are not B&B people, but our choices were limited in the rural area of Little Washington, VA so we booked our room for two nights. Well, we were more than pleasantly surprised! This is not your typical B&B vacation; this is... more

My husband and I very much enjoyed our weekend at the Inn - what a relaxing time! Breakfast was wonderful and unique each day and we loved taking coffee on the front porch before breakfast with the paper and view of the mountains. From afternoon lemonade with a book on the back porch and a cat in the lap to... more
