Charming B&B with nice arts and crafts touches, nicely decorated, wonderful breakfasts right down the street from the Inn at Little Washington, which seems to be everyone's destination in this tiny little town. No TV or radio/IPOD connection though nice strong WIFI. The hosts are fantastic; very knowledgable and wanted to make sure your stay is a great, which ours... More

We were so pleased that we chose Gay Street Inn to stay at during our visit to Washington, VA. Hosts Kevin and Jay were super welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed a great nights sleep in the Mountain View room. Kevin & Jay prepared a gorgeous breakfast with fresh fruit and pancakes with their homemade cranberry butter. It was a lovely follow... More

We came to Gay Street seeking charm, hospitality, and a respite from our day-to-day city lives. Boy, did we find it... in spades! The proprietors are consummate hosts in every sense of the term: thoughtful, thorough, warm, accommodating, anticipating needs before they are even realized, and endlessly open to helping your stay be as comfortable and terrific as possible. They... More

This was our second visit to the Inn and it did not disappoint. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the innkeepers are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is delicious. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

My wife and I stayed here for one night and found this to be a very nice, but economically attractive (compared to the Inn!) option. We stayed in the Mountain View room and enjoyed our quick trip. Kevin and Jay were very accommodating and friendly. The property, service, and breakfast were all very nice. The only complaint we had is... More

My husband and I went to Washington, VA for a anniversary celebration. We were very impressed by the Gay Street Inn. The Innkeepers Kevin and Jay keep a beautiful Inn. We stayed in the Mountain View room and highly recommend it (although I have not seen or stayed in the other rooms.) The views were beautiful. The breakfast was amazing.... More

The Gay Street Inn is an excellent choice. As the other reviews have noted, the Inn is warm and tasteful. The bed was really comfortable; the breakfast delicious. The Innkeepers were incredibly welcoming and reallly went out of their way to ensurebthat we had a pleasant stay. And it is a mere two blocks away from The Inn at Little... More

Most enjoyable stay at The Gay Street Inn. We went to Little Washington for a retirement dinner celebration at The Inn at Little Washington. The Gay Street Inn is a very short walk to the restaurant. When we arrived back to the inn, to our delight, there was a bottle of port, beautiful glassware, chocolates, and a fire to make... More

Our first experience at a B & B and found the Inn, the innkeepers, and the town absolutely delightful. A lovely old home with a gorgeous garden, updated with very nice bathrooms, and a creative and attentive breakfast. Just 2 short blocks to our dinner destination, the Inn at Little Washington. GSI was all I had hoped for.

Although our aim is to please all of our guests, we're always especially delighted when first-time B&Bers take the plunge and discover they can enjoy this type of get-away -- there are so many wonderful B&Bs all over. We love sharing our home and the area in which we live, and are glad that these guests enjoyed themselves during their... More

I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Washington, VA for his birthday with dinner at the Inn at Little Washington and a night at the Gay Street Inn. The inn was perfect and the inn keepers were so wonderful. Our room was really cozy and clean and the common areas were also very nice. When we arrived Kevin offered... More
