I have stayed at the Inn many times, but had been away for three years. I felt like I had returned home, but to a home of my fantasy. From the moment I was welcomed by Said, to the moment I left, all was perfect. There are so many places in the world where one can stay in a beautiful... more

After reading some of the reviews with comments regarding the stuffiness of the rooms, the quality of the staff etc I felt I had to jump in with my opinions. I just came from a one night stay at The Inn and was astounded by the quality of the experience. As a hotelier, I have pretty high expectations and at... more

I wanted to do something memorable for my partner's 40th birthday, so we booked a room at Inn at Little Washington. We received a most memorable and pleasant respite from the real world for 17 hours. In one of several books available for perusal in our room, Patrick O'Connell, the owner of the Inn, states his desire to make the... more

My wife and I stayed at the inn to celebrate our anniversary. If we weren’t the youngest couple at the inn ever, we certainly were on the night we stayed. The place is very posh, a little too much for my taste. The room was great, bathroom was stunning, but I must say that the view out of the room... more

If you're like us, you travel a few times a year and try to get away on the weekends at some BnB's. You spend your money wisely and splurge when you think it's worth it. And you read reviews to figure out what's worth it. Here is our experience staying and eating at the Inn. There are positives and negatives.... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Inn at Little Washington for 1 night and dined there twice during Thanksgiving weekend. A week later we're still talking about the experience and have bought and cooked out of " Patrick O'Connell's Refined American Cuisine". (Highly suggest buying even if you can't make it to the Inn for dinner!) We had extremely... more

My wife and I went to the Inn for a night away from the kids. Despite the shortness of our visit, we felt like we had been away from the world for a week. The service is spectacular. Everyone there was very attentive and as nice as we could ask for. The food is equal to the hype that we... more

There is a reason the Inn at Little Washington is #63 on Travel and Leisure’s top 100 Hotels of the World for 2008. Patrick O’Connell’s masterpiece is an amazing place to stay and enjoy one of best hotel and dining experiences of your life. We arrived to the Inn drenched in sweat after hiking Old Rag Mountain (Such a fun... more

Like many other reviewers, we had high expectations for our stay at the Inn at Little Washington. Our two-story suite was ornately decorated but felt stuffy and uncomfortable - not a restful stay. We visited in August and it didn't seem like the air conditioning was equipped to adequately cool the second story sleeping area. We were similarly disappointed with... more
