My husband and I stayed here after our wedding nearby, 15 years ago. When we returned this weekend, Lynn P. greeted us with a huge hug and wanted to catch up on all that's happened since. The rooms are still elegant, the grounds magnificent, the breakfast scrumptious, and the staff delightful. Lynn provided an excellent recommendation for dinner, and our.... More

We chose a Sunday afternoon to arrive(the weekend before Valentine's Day) As it turned out the Inn had a pretty full Saturday night, BUT we have the place to ourselves Sunday night! So we had a great everning talking and exploring the Inn and grounds. We loved staying at the BHI and will certainly return soon. H Myers and A... More

We were positively charmed by the Black Horse Inn and its owner and staff. The elegant old house, the beautiful rooms, the full delicious breakfasts and the outstanding service all exceeded high expectations. This is the type of B&B that gives more than advertised. Fruit, cookies, soft drinks, cake, wine, sherry and port are always available and included in the... More

The Black Horse Inn was beautiful, romantic, relaxing and every other wonderful adjective we could give it. We were pampered yet left alone. The room was lovely; the breakfast was delicious and the house is stunning. We can't wait to go back.

Still in awe, and ready to return! Beautifully appointed, spacious inn with excellent food and service. This traditional Fox Hunt decor, very- very Virginian B&B was both historic and superbly comfortable with amazing modern ammenities. The innkeeper is exceptional, and very friendly with lots of great ideas for area entertainment. We are foxhunters and love traditional settings. Horse-friendly, this B&B... More

My husband and I booked this B&B online a few months ago for a short weekend getaway. Owner Lynn Pirozzoli promptly replied to my email, and our visit was booked. When I had to change our reservation date a couple times, she promptly responded--accommodating us without any fuss. As for the physical property, it is a stunner! It's a hunt-country... More

Valentines Day was a treat and my wife loved her stay. Chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne were waiting for us upon arrival. Hors' d euvres and wines were also served along with fresh baked cookies waiting for us as a midnight "nightcap." The room was romantic and my wife loved the canopy bed and the jacuzzi. Breakfast was scrumptious and... More
