We loved our stay at the Black Horse Inn. The staff was courteous, attentive and helpful and adressed our every need. The Inn is a magnificent antibellum mansion -- with beautifully groomed grounds. There are horses on the property that kept us amused and the ballroom would make a lovely location for corporate events or a wedding. The breakfast was... more

I would like to thank the Black Horse Inn Staff for their efforts making this corporate retreat a great success!! My colleagues were in Awe... of the spectacular setting, views, food and customer services the BHI provided. This is a must stay for all corporate events who are looking for a serene and comfortable venue. The Staff went above and... more

Having my wedding at the Black Horse was the best decision I could have made. My husband and I, though legally married several years, had never had a real wedding due to illness and financial issues. Lynn saw to it that when we did have our wedding that it was absolutely perfect! The staff at the Inn were completely attentive... more

The Black Horse Inn is a lovely, historic mansion on beautiful, well maintained grounds, with three thoroughbred horses grazing in the pasture in front of the inn. Yes, one is an gorgeous black horse. If you love horses, you will love this inn and the hunt country deor. We found everyone on the staff to be exceptionally kind. The rooms... more

My husband and I stayed here during the Thanksgiving period 2007. The house and our room were very nice and the breakfast was good. On our second night, however, a child cried at two hour intervals all through the night. It seemed as if the walls were paper thin. Since most historic b&b's are clearly not suitable for children or... more

Ideally located in Warrenton located minutes from town. This was our second visit and I think we hit it on an "off" weekend. We should have stayed with our original room reservation in Hunters Haven and at the last minute thought we were upgrading to the Fox and the Grape room. Unless you are vertically challenged, you may wish to... more

I stayed at the Black Horse Inn in the beginning of December 2005. It was a surprise for my girlfriend, to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. While we were driving, we rounded a bend in the road, and my girlfriend spots an amazingly breathtaking mansion on a hill and remarks how beautiful it was. It turns out that this was the... more

What a great place! This is a fabulous inn with lots of history and each room is charming and beautifully decorated. We've stayed there twice and had a wonderful time. Fireplaces in most of the rooms. Nice wine and cheese offerings in the afternoon. And the breakfasts were quite good. It's very quiet, with no irritating city sounds to bother... more
