My husband and I stayed in the Singapore room for one night in May 2011. When we arrived around 3pm, we couldn't find anyone to check us into our room. We had to go to the restaurant in order to find some help. We were finally checked into the room and it was large, but the bathroom was odd. The... More

The Gristmill was a pleasant, relaxing place to stay, and the Waterwheel Restaurant was great! We had the Oat Suite, a bedroom with twin beds and a living room with a sofa. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. The living room furniture was underwhelming. Not antiques, but yard sale quality. Sofa impossible to sit in - one... More

The new owners spare no luxury. We had breakfast in bed under our canopy bed and a great late-night treat in the pub with really good beer and smoked trout. The inn spreads over several houses, each having their own charm and ear full of the stream. Grounds are blooming and well-kept and the rooms are full of antiques and... More

Neat concept - turn an old gristmill into a hotel. Checked in the afternoon but there was no one in the office (and no note of where to go to check in). Ended up going to the restaurant and they told me my key was in my room. i wish someone had mentioned you could go straight to your room!... More

Perfect spot from which to breathe clear air, see the night sky, listen to the babbling brook and be at rest. Roughly 20 rooms among several buildings surrounding a historic mill that now houses a delightful rustic restaurant. The Inn delivers a light breakfast of juice, coffee/tea and croissants whenever you call for them - just enough to get the... More

My Significant Other planned a short weekend getaway for us and we stayed at this B and B... Overall I enjoyed this unique B and B. Our room was clean and while the furniture was "antique" it was well maintained. We stayed in the "Loft" room and I was a little nervous about this because of other's reviews on this... More

Our experience was that this is a good place to stay. It has friendly staff, interesting rooms, a good restaurant, internet access, a pool, and tennis courts. We would be happy to stay there again. Our only two quibbles are that the television in our room was about the size of a laptop or computer monitor -- so small it... More

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Inn at Gristmill Square last weekend, after attending an afternoon chamber music concert at Garth Newel. I had checked the reviews here on TripAdvisor before we went, and chose the Rye Suite as a result. We were very happy with our suite of rooms, which included a small living room... More

Arrived at our inn after a full day of sightseeing, very ready to relax…and relax we did! Everything was low key and pleasant. The restaurant connected with the inn was a former gristmill, and the rooms were in several adjacent buildings. Ours was a former hardware store, and it faced the former miller’s house. A unique set-up, with each room... More

We stayed at the Inn at Gristmill Square as part of a Christmastime trip, the focus of which was: RELAXATION. The Inn at Gristmill Square was perfect for serving this purpose. We stayed in the Bromley room which was large and well-appointed, with a balcony, fireplace, and high ceilings (the pictures on their website seem to accurately portray the rooms).... More
