My family planned a reunion here for my mother's 70th birthday. I had never been to this part of Virginia and I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon arrival we were greeted by a string quartet playing in the square. It was unexpected, but very nice. There were about two dozen people listing to them and drinking wine. My wife... More

Best kept secret around - SHHHHHH! Very interesting Inn, lots of history. I stayed in the Craven suite, which is up one flight of stairs. It's one of two suites in the old hardware store. Has all the modern amenities. Cell reception is poor, but each room has WiFi. Breakfast basket delivered to your room with coffee/tea, biscuits, fresh-squeezed orange... More

I visit the area for the Mt Mama bike ride in Monterey, which is 30 miles north on #220. The hotels and area north are really run down but around Warm Springs and south, quite a difference. The Inn at Gristmill is an old establishment of course but I find it charming and comfortable. The restaurant is a bit pricey... More

After visiting NYC an WDC a very nice place to get some rest. Beautifull surroundings, nice weather and helpfull staff made our stay very good. Our 3 girls, 10,12 and 14 years old, also liked the swimmingpool very much. We ordered a picknick lunch, highly recommended, on sunday and explored the nature surrounding Warm Springs. We enjoyed our 2 night... More

There is not a lot to say about this bed and breakfast; it's a nice enough place, without any real flaws, while simultaneously not having anything particularly special or unique about it. The room I stayed in (the "Singapore" room) was clean, well maintained, and reasonably comfortable, with a quite polite and helpful staff. There were two separate bathrooms, one... More

Quiet, serene location and wonderful accomodations. Breakfast is brought to your room in the am by a friendly face in a picnic basket. Carafe of coffee, fresh oj, fruit, a savory or sweet of the day and delicious yogurt with granola and fruit in a mason jar. Superb restaurant locared out your door. You do not have to leave during... We have stayed here twice before--may or may not stay again. Would like to give it four buttons but just can't do it. While the staff is very friendly, the property has deferred maintenance issues which should be addressed and more attention to detail is needed in the room cleaning department. The bar is cool, the restaurant is nice, and... More

The Inn is very quaint and has a lot of fun amenities (pool, tennis, cornhole). We stayed in Bromley suite which was spacious. The furnishings are a little dated and the bed could do with new, plusher pillows. But the service was great! The breakfast delivered to your room is such a lovely touch. Delicious baked goods, orange juice and... More

I spent one night here, and it was perfect. Comfortable, clean, just right. I only wish I had had more time to stay another night or two. Basket of goodies for breakfast, too. The dinner we shared with our friends was superb, what a great little bar and restaurant!

My wife and I decided on a Friday to get out of town and stay at a BnB for the weekend. I had seen this BnB on a couple of website and saved it in my Favorites for a possible future stay. Luckily they had a suite available, the Craven Suite. I called, booked the reservation and they we proceeded... More
