Nice hotel and great staff. Due to the fact that that this hotel in hurricane proof with 9 inch walls the Wi-Fi is very spotty on one side of the building. The staff was very kind allowing me to fiind a location where there was a decent signal. I was told it would cost $75 thousand to update the system,... more

We stayed here for business/pleasure in Winter. Not sure if the hotel was new or they just remodeled. The rooms and lobby had all new materials and was very modern in design. The room was clean and no visible bugs. As with all beachfront hotels in the area, parking required a pass and was on premisis (garage). The usual Marriott... more

This hotel was better than expected! The staff was very friendly, imformative and helpful. The rooms were amazing! I payed for a standard room which was more like a suite. It had a living room, refrigerator and two seperate TVs. Very pleased! The beds were the most comfortable beds ever and had a ton of pillows! The room, pool, and... more

So - the room was nice, the location was great, the value was ok. What made the difference for us was Nicolle's recommendations. She recommended the spa at 31st and a little restaurant named Tautogs. She steered us to the very best and really cared. Her recommendation made our vacation very special. Both were fantastic. People make all the difference,... more

The room was large and clean with a wonderful view of the ocean. I was within mere steps of the beach. The cost was less than I have paid for comparable rooms with a view. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was that I stumbled over the step to the balcony nearly every time -... more

Virginia Beach's Atlantic Avenue strip is packed with cheap stores selling extraordinarily vulgar merchandise, which draws a like-minded crowd. The Fairfield sits in the middle of this, facing a concrete "boardwalk" and a long beach strip with one lifeguard and one hose to rinse off your feet when returning to the hotel. For a beach hotel, it seems poorly equipped.... more

Reasonably priced, beautiful view on the ocean front. Courteous staff, decent hotel overall. Adding a good onsite restaurant would add value to it. more

The first three nights were positive as expected. The room is reasonable and would have been fine for two people. I noticed the refrigerator still did not work properly (as noted in a review from 2007) and the tub looked like it could no longer be fully cleaned. One small annoyance, I use the plug beside the bed to charge... more

This is a nice hotel right on the oceanfront. We were upgraded to a King Suite, which was actually at the end of the hallway. Room was well equipped with coffemaker, microwave, fridge, cd player, 2 phones, 2 tv's, and a pull out sofabed. This place is very family friendly. Indoor pool, and jacuzzi was nice and there is also... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in the King Suite on the 9th floor. It was immaculately clean and the view was spectacular with wall to wall to ceiling window and balcony. You can basically open your eyes when you wake and the first thing you see is the ocean - stunning! Upkeep was fantastic and were responded to in less... more
