I have traveled all over the world and am sometimes surprised, but I must say this was one of those times that brought a smile to my face when I checked in. The town was in the midst of a Nor'easter storm which almost prevented us from making it down the street. I arrived just hoping it was still open.... more

Pros: Very helpful, friendly staff. When we needed something for the bathroom, they brought it right away. The room we stayed in (an extra-large king room with a room divider on the 8th floor) was spacious enough to stretch out in, and since it's a newer hotel, the soundproofing was pretty good. We stayed here for a few days in September and would definitely come back! We arrived at hotel around 2pm and were able to check right in. Our room was great, very roomy. Loved the location, right in the middle of the strip. Never had a problem finding a parking spot. Continental breakfast was a plus. Gave us more money... more

It is not easy to keep a property kept up along the ocean front... Fairfield Inn does a great job. Yes, there's a little wear and tear, but... nothing serious and very clean. From Start to finish this is my favorite Hotel at Virginia Beach. Staff is fantastic, rooms are awesome, and a wonderful Breakfast is included with your stay. We were very pleased with the hotel, it was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable with a beautiful ocean veiw. The breakfast wasnt great but adequate and the only other complaint was that out whirlpool tub which was close to the bed started making all kinds of gurgling noises about 2:00 am. We live about 3 hours from Virginia Beach, so we decided to 'bop down' for a short getaway. There are several other hotels in the area in this price-range but I chose Fairfield Inn from the reviews and from it's mid-way location on the Boardwalk.
