Read a lot of bad reviews for this resort AFTER I booked...HOWEVER, my husband and I had a great 4 day stay! Friendly night staff (had a little mix up with the room upon arrival which was fixed fairly timely), great location (one block from oceanfront and boardwalk), and great complimentary guest activities. If you want a 5 star resort..this... more

The Atrium is one of the hotels listed in the RCI directory for which we used points for our 2 night stay. We were shocked at the condition of this "resort." Though the unit was clean (except for the condom found under the sleep sofa) th furninture and appliances were very old and in some case inoperatable. There was no... more

We had a packaged reservation through expedia.com but when we checked out, they said that they could not find it and therefore overcharged us a ridiculous amount of $103/night! Probably to make up for the fact that they had no other guests at the place. We could have stayed at a Motel 6 for a fraction of the price with... more

My wife and I just returned from a vacation trip that included The Atrium Resort. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful. Renovations were underway but we were undisturbed by the work. We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Overall, an excellent value! more

Be Aware of the $1/day (manditory) safe fee. [--] does not say anything about this extra fee. Anyhow, I recently stayed in this hotel and have to say that this hotel needs: New Management (Very Rude when checked in) New Beds - Sleeping on the floor was more comfortable New Couches - The sleepers are broken and they sink in... more

The hotel is not in good condition and the service was not very good. The whole place looks like it has seen much better days, probably twenty years ago. During our stay, the air conditioning was super cold the first night, then didn't work at all the next two nights. That meant that our room, in late June was a... more

We recently stayed a week at the Atrium Resort (Jun 1 - 8). First and foremost, if you are accustomed to staying in 5-star hotels this is NOT the place for you. However, if thoughts of staying overnight in a La Quinta Inn do not turn your stomach, then you will find the Atrium more than adequate. The rooms are... more

My family stayed at The Atrium last week from Friday to Friday. Being that we checked in during a busy time (Memorial Day weekend) the hotel was fairly quiet. I had emailed the hotel directly after reading some of the reviews on here and the property manager responded back letting me know she would inspect our room to make sure... more

We recently took a trip to Virginia Beach where we rented 3 rooms in the Atruim based on what we read and saw on Hotels.com. In reality the Atrim was really disappointing. The condition of the Atrium Resort was deplorable, the couches and carpets were really old and dirty. It was scary to sit on the cushions and wonder what... more

The hotel is old, rooms are not up to date. Beds are small. Sofas are OLD and sunken. Room doors are not totally secure. Someone tried to come in my room while I was in bed without permission and after that incident someone came in my room without permission and took some items out of my suitcase. Swimming pool needed... more
