We loved everything about this place. The views of the ships passing through to the bay were great and sunsets spectacular. The beach was clean and the water warm with gentle waves. The staff was attentive and friendly and even offerred to give us a ride to a local restaurant and back and go to the market for us. Drinks... more

I was on business and stayed at this hotel for 14 days. Stacy Patrick General Manager and her staff were always friendly and accomendating. I am going back in July and plan to stay there again. more

We had a fantastic trip! We needed a place to throw a surprise 80th birthday party for my father-in-law that could hold about 30 guests. We rented a penthouse suite, which was nicely decorated, comfortable and very large. The balcony overlooking water was the perfect backdrop for the gathering! The sunsets from the the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel are amazing!... more

I work for an academic institution that sends students down to the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area every year during spring break to do community outreach work, and we have been staying at this hotel for several years. The experience is always very good, and this was no exception. The suites are spacious and have a kitchenette and living area, which is... more

The staff was excellent and definitely made up for some of the MANY shortcomings we experienced in our room. The rooms, we asked to be moved out of our first room, are large but the beds are directly inside the door resulting in a lot of hall noise and the balcony doors are warped and missing their weather seals so... more

This was the worst hotel I have ever seen. I can't say stayed in because I checked out without staying the night. The carpet appeared so dirty it would be unwise to walk barefoot over it. The room was bare, uninviting and looked unclean. Please note all of the one star reviews. more

My daughters and I recently spent several days visiting friends in Virginia Beach. Once again, we stayed at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center. Having stayed there several times previously, we knew that it offered everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room had a fantastic view, was very clean, and gave us... more

This is a full service hotel with a restaurant giving a beautiful beach front view. It's right on the bay with a gorgeous, spacious beach front area. The rooms were very large with a full living room and separate bedroom area. There is a small kitchen area as well. The balcony looked right over the beach and bay, making for... more

My family and I visit this hotel every July, and we're never disappointed. It's nestled directly on the Chesapeake Bay, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area by the Virginia Beach beachfront hotels, yet only minutes away from that type of action, should you care to partake. You can step out the back of the hotel and... more

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We were looking for a quiet first trip to take our little ones aged 2 1/2 and 5 months. We had a restful, beach vacation. Wonderful for the kids to be able to swim in both the indoor and outdoor pools, and to have the beach so close. The water is calm... more
