We were excited about going to Virginia Beach and after much research decided to stay at The Alamar. What a perfect choice. When we called ( more that once and each time was warmly received by both Tina and Ernie) we were not rushed and each of our questions was thoroughly answered. Upon arrival we were pleased to find the... more

We loved the alamar from the minute that we pulled in at 4:20 am we felt like we had known them for a life time! Great people who run this you can tell once you arrival and see the grounds and rooms that they take pride in their business. Rooms were great and the price was even better. They made... more

Thank you for another wonderful vacation this summer at your place, it's been over 4 years we've been coming to the Alamar, and it's like coming home every summer, everyone's so friendly, always ready to be of service, the place is nice and clean, flowers everywhere outside, you can't ask for a more or nicer place that feels like home.... more

Stumbled into this place while visiting Virginia beach for the first time. The hotels on the ocean front were so expensive and staff so unfriendly that we were ready to leave town! Thankfully we found this wee place which was ideal. The guy on reception couldn't have been friendlier and got us sorted with a room at a reasonable price.... more

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are dated but I would imagine most of the hotels in area are the same. Most of Virginia Beach near this location seems to be somewhat dated. Room doesn't have controls for air conditioning, you have to call front desk and ask them to turn up/down air. Walls are paper thin. We were... more

I stayed here over labor day weekend. My boyfriend and I were participating in the Rock N' Roll half marathon and had some other friends coming along. We had a party of 6 so we got the 2 room suite. It was more then enough room for all of us. After doing a lot of research on area hotels and... more

We stayed at the Alamar Resort Inn on Aug 23-25. I originally booked for the 22nd-24th but had to move the reservation due to conflicts with my son's football weigh in schedule. Alamar made the change without hesitation. Upon arrival, I noticed there wasnt a tv in the bedroom. With three kids and 2 adults a 2nd tv was needed,... more

We blocked 15 rooms at the Alamar Resort Inn for our son and daughter- in-law's recent wedding in Virginia Beach. We found the Inn to be conveniently located (2 blocks to the beach), clean and comfortable, and the staff to be like family. Max, the new owner, surprised us by giving the newlyweds a complete apartment located on the property... more

Thanks to Max, the owner, for making our stay all the more enjoyable. The Alamar is situated well at Virginia Beach, and provides all the amenities, We stayed in one of the Suites. When we noticed a lack of a toaster, Max provided one within ten minutes. Max also accommodated our friends well. In fact, any small problems or requests... more
