This campground was amazing. Lots of trees and just a quick walk over the dunes to the beach. The beach is very nice and great for young kids. Waves are very small or almost non existant. The kids were able to swim freely. The beach is not crowded at all since most people tend to go to the main beach.... more

This was a great trip! We camped in a tent & I was very happy with everything. Our site was very nice, the beach was close (literally just a walk across the dunes away), with hardly any people on it, and the restrooms & shower areas were very clean & close to every site. I'd def recommend this to anyone... more

I loved staying here! It was just my husband, my dog and myself. We had electricity and water at our camp site. At night we actually watched a movie on our laptop. The sites are close to each other, so if you're looking for a romantic getaway this won't work here. The beach was very close to our site and... more

August 2007. I made a reservation for one night over the internet a week before arriving. Upon arrival we were placed in the section F campsites. Apparently the place is crowded everyday all summer long. Section F is in the lower reaches of Dante's Inferno. Everysite is about 100 feet from a 4 lane highway. The sites are extremely small... more

First Landing is an excellent way to go to the beach on a budget. I like that they do not have water or electric at the sites, it makes it still feel like camping out. They do provide shower facilities, so there is access to water and electric when needed. The bay is beautiful and private, and a nice public... more

I've been camping at First Landing since 1976 (when it was more aptly named Seashore State Park). True, there's no hookups and the facilities aren't as up-to-date as other state parks (though they are working on it), but the fact that I can wake up in the morning and walk over a dune bridge and watch the Bay surpasses all... more
