I usually do not write hotel reviews but definitely felt the need to in this case. I've been staying at this establishment for the past 20 years off and on both for week-long Summer vacations as well as the annual Neptune Festival. However, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, anymore! Recently the hotel was sold (beginning of 2007)... more

This hotel would not be my choice for my next visit. The elevator takes forever. The pool was not heated, there was no hot tub, no stove, even though their website says so. Also, non-guests were allowed in hotel at 4 am and banged on doors. The rooms are large and basic. No extras at all (like shampoo) When questioned... more

We were at Virginia Beach 9/2008, and we stayed at Breakers Resort, which we liked very much. While there, we visited friends who stayed at Station One. Having stayed there in the past, and having read about the remodeling, I was eager to see it. We were very disappointed. As soon as you got out of the elevator, you could... more

What a CLEAN SURPRISE !! We arrived at the Station One on our SECOND day in Virginia Beach. We went hotel shopping after our first night in less than clean hotel on the South End of the Boardwalk. Things definately improve as you go North. I had seen Station One here and knew about the renovations. To my surprise, the... more

Just got back from 5 nights at Station One. Although we have stayed here for the past 4 years, we almost booked elsewhere when Station One significantly increased their rates at the start of 2008. Thanks to a tip on Trip Advisor I learned a couple of months ago that Station One had dropped their rates ( and reinstated their... more

This was my 12th year staying at Station One. We stayed for 7 nights, June 15-June 22. We were lucky enough to get a great rate because the High season rate started the next week. Our rate was $950 plus tax for the week. We arrived on the 15th, which was the last day of the arts festival. We were... more

My husband and I went down for the weekend and this hotel had the most reasonable price for a Friday night stay. The hotel was undergoing redecorating. We had a king suite with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker that had been completely refurbished, new carpet, tile, curtains, bedding and the bathroom was spacious. I was concerned by the look of... more

Having read some of the reviews of Station One, I thought I would share my experiance. We have been staying at Station One every year for a week since 1987. We chose Station One like so many over people because of the location. Over the years the hotel has shown signs of aging, but so has other hotels. We were... more

We stayed here last year and its a really nice place. I liked that the bedroom was off to its self and that the couch let out to a bed also. The rooms are a little out dated but who cares its clean and my family goes for the beach and sun. We have one tween and two toddlers. The... more
