This hotel is in a good location but needs updates. The sliding glass door was difficult to open and dirty. The air conditioner did not work so the maintenance guy tried to fix it but in the end it still did not work well. The water pressure of the shower was excellent but again the bathroom needed some desperate updates.... More

With the exception of the rude, short brown hair, 50 year old woman with the glasses that ran the front desk the staff was great and treated us very kindly. The room was run down. Found trash on the balcony and old food in the fridge. Our room had a loose balcony railing and a broken lock on the door.... More

Reviewed this last year, went back this year after Labor Day. The first room was smoking, we requested a non smoking room, The second room had toilet issues, don't use room 306. Got another room, and it turned out o.k. Yeah the place is older, lots of dust bunnies. No we did not have mold but it wasn't Hilton quality... More

Location was PRIME for the East Coast Surf Competition. However, the hotel was a dirty place. Everything was grimey. Moldy shower curtain... Nasty yellow towels balled up in the corner on our "balcony"... It was nice to have coffee 24/7. "Breakfast" was a joke. The location of the hotel was the ONLY thing that I was pleased with...The AC didn't work...Rooms filthy....Ice was only available on one floor...Vending machines down...Elevator took forever and smelled ....We were not able to check in right away so we were offered the use of the employee bathroom.We couldn't even see in the mirror it was so dirty...Not to... I normally do not do reviews, however, after I was scared about going down to VA beach, being as we had reservations at Budget Lodge for 5 nights... We were extremely pleased.... The hotel could definetly be updated, but ya get what ya pay for.. At $129, across the street from the beach, with an awesome view of the ocean... More

Checked in and back out in 15 minutes. Had 2 rooms reserved. Bed broken in one room and dismal furnishings. Dirty with hair in bathroom. Second room had leak over bathtub in ceiling which collapsed in when we touched it and dirty, putrid water ran out for over 60 seconds. Disgusting conditions overall. Would NEVER recommend this hotel to ANYONE!!... More
