Our third straight year to VA Beach, and I think we've found the right hotel for us. Fantastic location with easy access to the beach. Parking is very convenient. Excellent rate for a true oceanfront room, super clean. Room was plenty large enough for my family of five with a rollaway. Breakfast was good enough, probably saved me $40 per... more

My mom and I decided on a quick trip to Virginia Beach in June, and we didn't want to spend a ton of money. I saw the good reviews for the Econo Lodge and booked us for two nights. Great decision! All the rooms face the ocean, which is always a plus in my book. We loved sitting out on... more

This was our third time to Virginia Beach and our first time at this Hotel. Check in was easy, staff was friendly. The whole property is clean and well maintained. Rooms are a good size and clean. Nice pool and free bikes to ride on the Boardwalk. All rooms face the Ocean and have a balcony, or "patio" if you're... more

We happened upon this hotel after our original reservation at the Courtyard was changed (room rate). I spoke with Art on the phone and was pleased by his courteous and helpful demeanor....I called again the morning before our departure to ensure we had 2 room connecting and Art remembered who I was and assured me everything was taken care of... more

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We got a good rate for mature travelers (50 and over). We visited off season so it was relatively quiet, but we had a room right next to a public walkway and parking and I would expect it is very noisy during regular season. Also there is a large lamp post that is... more

We were extremely pleased with our stay. The room was clean with nice amenities. After realizing that there was no elevator we stayed on the ground floor and were pleasantly surprised to find that our room had a back door which opened right out to the boardwalk/beach. The hotel was a great location, walking distance to many shops and restaurants.... more

2nd year in a row and enjoyed our stay. Nice CLEAN and I stress Clean rooms. Maid service was excellent and always done before noon. Pool was very warm. We picked a bad week for beach weather (Thanks Hurricane Fay) - it was very cold and windy - which caused us to leave a day early. The front desk reimbursed... more

I stayed here while on Business in Virginia Beach and will be back. This a great value for an Ocean Front Motel. I stayed on the ground floor and my door opened right onto the boardwalk and the beach. I made my reservation through the Choice Website and check inn was a breeze, as I was in my room ready... more

Good value for a VA Beach hotel. We travelled the first week in June, as VA schools are still in session. "Peak" prices don't start until the second week of June. The hallways and stairways are run down, but the room was clean and well-maintained. All rooms are oceanfront, right on the boardwalk, between 27th & 28th street (boardwalk runs... more

If the Econo Lodge had hot breakfast and if the balcony had sliding glass doors (with screen) this property would have received a higher rating. But it doesn't. What it does have is decent prices, very clean rooms, friendly and helpful desk agents, great oceanfront location, and plenty of available parking -- at least while I was there. Also, a... more
