Having made a prepaid reservation ahead-of-time, I was greeted courteously and provided a color map to my site, which was a clean, shaded, full-hookup, level and pull-through. Hookups were conveniently located & water pressure was good but not excessive. The encrypted Wi-Fi worked but was painfully slow. If the campground offered cable TV, I could never find the connection for... More

We love this campground. It is true that if you don't have, or like, children you probably won't like the place. There is a great deal of outdoor activity that children like to do, which is one of the reasons we started coming to this camp and stopped going to the child-hating campground a few miles south of Staunton. Myself,... More

This is the second year we came back for my younger son's birthday (he is 6 now) I love this park because is: 1.- Not expensive 2.- River and waterfall are incredible. Water is cold even when is 100 degrees. 3.- Staff are always friendly. 4.- Showers and restrooms are always well maintained and clean. 5.- Alcohol is permitted but... More

Just returned home from a 9 night stay, arriving on a Friday and staying until Sunday of the following week. First off I have to say that any "kidless" family that gave this campground a good review could not POSSIBLY have stayed here on a weekend. My first encounter with a fellow camper was at the door to the office... More

This is a great campground with some great amenities. There are no excessive costs and the activities are great for both children and adults. The river provided some great scenery and I cannot wait to try the tubing next time. The sites were good, we had plenty of room and the store stocked many things if you need anything. The... More

We two retirees have just returned from our first 3 night stay at this Campground. Staff was as good as it gets - friendly and most accomodating, very professional. Facility has about all the features and services that a family could want. I have to agree with other reviewers that the sites are a little snug and access is a... More

This is the best campground in the State of Virginia. The kids have fun and I relax beyond compare. There is no over-the-top additional costs for extra activities like at other campgrounds (one particular cartoon character comes to mind), just a reasonable cost for miniature gold and a river tube (if you don't bring your own). The cabins and bathrooms... More

This is my second time spending an overnight at this campground with my daughter. She loves the catch/release pond and the bunnies running free in the background. On our previous visit (April 2013), we also enjoyed the arcade and mini-golf course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The campsites are very clean and security routinely patrols the grounds. We... More

We stayed here for a week. This is our 2nd time in this campground. There is a lot to do here that kept our 2 12 year olds fully occupied. Two days they went tubing around the campground, did a ton of bike riding, fished, swam in pool, played putt-putt, and enjoyed movies every evening. I enjoyed feeding bunnies and... More
