I depend on Trip Advisor for all my plans. The reviews are usually right on. We went with this inn as it was number one in town and I didn't realize how small the town was. The reviews to the most part were accurate, but for one deficiency. They did not mention how tired the rooms were. It truly was... More

My wife and I did an overnighter last weekend. The lodging is quite rustic, yet comfortable. The room was quite large with a fireplace and the bathroom was quite very small and in need of a new shower head. Dinner and breakfast in the Pub were exceptional. Glad breakfast was included as $205/night was a little steep for "rustic". The... More

We did a Living Social trip to get away from Richmond for a long weekend, and to hit a few wineries (there are literally dozens within a 20 mile radius of Blackthorne). We stayed in one of the cabins up on the hill (Wexford), which was very rustic, but with just enough amenities to wind down in the evening (jacuzzi... More

We purchased the Living Social voucher for use on our way to Georgia. The voucher included $25 credit for the restaurant or pub but we were informed on our arrival that the hours of operation had been changed two weeks prior and that they were only open Thursday through Sunday and therefore not available to us. Donna, the manager told... More

We came here using a LivingSocial voucher and had an amazing weekend. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfasts and dinner were delicious, the room was cozy and rustic, yet somehow felt fancy at the same time, and the surrounding area is beautiful. We arrived in our room (the Kerry room) to a bottle of wine, a delicious... More

Went here with friends on a Living Social coupon. Both our rooms were "cottages" consisting of 1 building with several rooms. Lovely and friendly person at the check-in-desk (Donna) who couldn't have been more helpful. Drove up the lane to our rooms. Room was quite spacious with a king size bed with lovely linens. The room really was OK for... More

We stayed in one of the cabins for Valentines weekend and had a great time. The cabins are a high end version of rustic, in that ours had a hot tub and a great stone fireplace, the inn features a wonderful restaurant and pub, and you are only 20 minutes or so from Middleburg, VA. The views from the cabin... More

The Blackthorne Inn in Upperville, Virginia, is a wonderful getaway destination. The 18th century inn sits on 45 wooded acres with a pond and has rooms in the main house as well as a number of cabins. We were there for a two-night stay and chose a cabin. Our private and quiet cabin was spacious and featured a very comfortable... More

We just got back from the Blackthorne Inn and Restaurant for a little romantic couples getaway. We stayed in the Wicklow (cabin #4) which contained a wood burning fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, and a very high queen bed. We had a great time, the staff was very friendly and on two occasions gave our car a jump start due to us... More
