Went here for a date with my sweetheart. Had an incredible meal. Loved the curry salad, fettuccine and the desserts were awesome. They made us fresh coffee too. The service was outstanding. Connor was our most awesome server. Will definitely return to enjoy an overnight stay.

We stayed at Blackthorne with a Living Social certificate so we had a discounted room rate with a $25 dining credit and fruit and cheese in the room on arrival. First, I want to say that Donna and the rest of the staff were terrific! There is a big BUT in this review and it has to do with the... More

We purchased a deal on Living Social and stayed two nights during the week. The Blackthorne Inn and Restaurant is located in a scenic, historic area- there is a lot to see and do nearby. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We had a cabin and loved it! It was located away from the inn in a quiet area... More

Love the area and though I live nearby, We planned a getaway for one night. The food is excellent. The location is perfect. We stayed in The Waterford cabin. It felt like camping. Very rustic. Very dated. In window AC and a tiny tv. Bathrooms very old. Id have been fine with it if it weren't for the bugs. Around... More

Found this deal on living social. I was very worried purchasing a deal for a place I knew nothing about. I read all the reviews and most were positive but some not so glowing. I was nervous all the way there but I was so pleased with the room we stayed in. I don't write reviews but I'm glad I... More

I depend on Trip Advisor for all my plans. The reviews are usually right on. We went with this inn as it was number one in town and I didn't realize how small the town was. The reviews to the most part were accurate, but for one deficiency. They did not mention how tired the rooms were. It truly was... More

My wife and I did an overnighter last weekend. The lodging is quite rustic, yet comfortable. The room was quite large with a fireplace and the bathroom was quite very small and in need of a new shower head. Dinner and breakfast in the Pub were exceptional. Glad breakfast was included as $205/night was a little steep for "rustic". The... More

We did a Living Social trip to get away from Richmond for a long weekend, and to hit a few wineries (there are literally dozens within a 20 mile radius of Blackthorne). We stayed in one of the cabins up on the hill (Wexford), which was very rustic, but with just enough amenities to wind down in the evening (jacuzzi... More

We purchased the Living Social voucher for use on our way to Georgia. The voucher included $25 credit for the restaurant or pub but we were informed on our arrival that the hours of operation had been changed two weeks prior and that they were only open Thursday through Sunday and therefore not available to us. Donna, the manager told... More

We came here using a LivingSocial voucher and had an amazing weekend. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfasts and dinner were delicious, the room was cozy and rustic, yet somehow felt fancy at the same time, and the surrounding area is beautiful. We arrived in our room (the Kerry room) to a bottle of wine, a delicious... More
