I read the reviews for this hotel, and I decided to book a room anyway, thinking maybe some people had exagerated, but I found out they didn't. I had a smoking room, that smelled very bad. The bathroom looked as if there was mold behind the toilet seat , the shower curtain was dirty, and there was a wooden board... more

True I only stayed there one night, but was very satisfied. As a non-smoker, no problem with any smell or stink in my room. Location was prime just off the highway with everything you need around you. Price was good and we hit some Italian restaurant nearby. I really can't find anything to complain about. more

I was at the hotel for two weeks, My room smelled like smoke. Maybe the staff was smoking in my room? The Internet was hard to connect. My sheets were not changed for up to 4 or 5 days. I would rate the hotel better than terrible but not OK. more

I don't know where to start with this hotel, first of all check in was awful the man at the front desk was so rude it took us forever just to check in, when I put my hand out for my change he put it on the counter. The breakfast was so wacked we had to go elsewhere and eat... more

I should have known from the start - when we arrived after 10pm, the check-in was through bullet proof glass, and handled by unsmiling staff. I had to scream through the glass without any break or intercom system! Unreal, especially as in a fairly rural area that didn't look bad. The room was insanely bad. My family would not use... more

We stay at this hotel about 10 weekends out of the year. While the hotel staff is always courteous, helpful & friendly, their housekeeping can use some improvements. The bedsheets and towels are VERY THIN. They don't use fitted sheets on the bottom & sometimes the top sheets are shorted so they're not even tucked in! What are supposed to... more

Rebranded to a Quality Inn, this 2-story exterior motel does offer quiet rooms and location - and is the only motel at the exit. It is pet friendly at an additional $10 per night. I had a King room which included a small sofa which was a nice addition. Expanded 78 channel cable and very fast wireless internet. Not once... more

We stopped at this Hotel on our way to OBX. We booked two rooms and were very disappointed. First, the lobby was locked - very unusual and they had a buzzer to ring for service (the buzzer appears to be out of order). We got two separate rooms and both had problems. The first rooms TV and telephone didn't work,... more

OK, I am writing this review while I still have one day at this hotel. I have been here for about 5 days for work and felt compelled to write an updated review of the hotel. About a year or so ago, this hotel changed names from a Holiday Inn to a Quality Inn hotel. Things have definately went downhill... more

Our car broke down in Virginia while driving from Massachusetts to Virginia. We limped it off the exit and stopped at the first hotel we saw, which was the Quality Inn in Thornsburg. We were just expecting a roadside motor inn, but the room was actually quite nice. The AAA rate was $79. There is an outdoor pool. The room... more
