I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express (HIE) the night before participating in a triathlon at Lake Anna. The hotel appeared to be relatively new construction and was very nice. The decor is a bit contemporary 90's in style, but aesthetically above average.

My room was a single with a King. The room itself was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, free wireless, and a decent LG plasma TV.

The complimentary breakfast was okay and included scrambled eggs, bread, bacon, cinnamon rolls, bisquits, yogurt, juice, coffee, bagels, etc. My only complaint is that there was no fresh fruit or potatoes.

Overall, a very nice hotel with accomodating staff (I was granted a request to extend my checkout until 2PM because of the triathlon). more
