I visited Graves Mountain Lodge with a group this past weekend, it was actually opening weekend for the lodge. I found the lodge very warm and inviting. We had a roaring fire going in our meeting room and were served very good food. All the food you can eat is included in the price of the room. The meals are... More

Thank you for your review! A lot of groups come back for the food alone, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the stinkbugs are bothersome in the spring and fall, though luckily they don't do anything except crawl around. They've only been in our area for 3-4 years, so we're always trying out new treatments and techniques to manage... More

My husband & I have just returned from a "Valentine's Weekend" at Graves Mountain Lodge. I am not a fan of giving bad publicity after only visting a place once, but our experience was such that we never plan to return. We stayed at Poplar Lodge which consisted of one room - no closet (there were hooks and a few... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you had a bad experience here. All of your comments have been noted and we're doing what we can to act upon them. Graves' Mountain Lodge is a rustic mountain retreat, comparable to the cabins you'll find in the Shenandoah National Park. As such, we tend to focus on providing good... More

On a recent trip to Virginia, my in-laws talked us into visiting this wonderful, out of the way visit. Graves Mountain Lodge is worth the trip if you want to spend time in the countryside in the midst of mountains. There is a cool creek flowing through the property where you can kick off your shoes and cool your feet.... More

I grew up on the other side of the mountain from Graves and have always loved that area. Graves is always clean and inviting. The food is to die for and the festivals are always fun. The apple festival is my favorite and I love the good times there. I would highly recommend this place for anyone of any age.... More

They make some really great food here. The women of my church have used this as a conference/retreat center for the last few years. There are several separate buildings to accommodate different reasons people are there.

I've stayed at Graves Mountain 4 or 5 times, and always enjoyed its rustic atmosphere. Nothing like waking up to a mountain view, and hearing about the resident bear's latest visit! This time, however, (October 4-5) the stinkbugs were horrific. We checked into the Ridgecrest, our usual place, and noticed stinkbugs immediately. Nothing new; we had caught a handful the... More

We visited the Rose River Cabin at Graves Mountain Lodge and we were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the cabin. Although a pet unit, it didn't have any pet smells. We did have our Boston Terrier Corky with us and the fee was only $25.00 for a pet fee. We used wood on both nights and there was a... More

Was there for Apple Fest. Everything was perfect except for the stink bugs. Reminds me of something out of Little House on the Prairie complete with the Mercantile in town with three isles, one for groceries, one for fishing and one for nuts and bolts. with the post office in the corner. At Graves Mountain we stayed at Greenwood Cabin.... More

This is my 4th time visiting Graves. It's been 10 years since my last visit and nothing has changed. I absolutely love this place. The Apple harvest festival was there this weekend, even with the rain it was a nice event. The rooms are neat and clean. I love home cooked meals and the food is excellent just like your... More

Awesome food! Good music! Excellent customer service! The first 3 weekends in October they hold an apple butter festival so there's lots of people. There's horse riding trails to get away from the crowds.
