I stayed 1 night in this hotel in room 208, the room was large and needed a good clean as cobwebs on coving. TV was terrible as it had a digital information bar at the bottom of the screen, which we couldn't get rid of, when I asked for help, one of the reception staff came up but couldn't help,... More

When we arrived the whole area smelled like a pig farm. If we hadn't paid in advance we would have driven off. There was no off street parking so had to park in the road. The whole place was extremely shabby. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, stained wallpaper in room altogether completely run down, avoid this place and look... More

I travel to the Shenendoah area for business quarterly and have stayed at The Hotel Strasburg twice. My huband, fur babies and i usually take the RV, but not in the winter. If you are looking for modern cookie cutter accommodations with all the bells & whistles this isn't where you want to stay. The rooms are on the small... More

I have to agree with the reviewers who rated this place "poor" or "terrible". This hotel had the feeling of an old boarding house. Our third floor room (301) looked like it had not had a good deep cleaning in decades. The bed was super hard and we apparently got those old flat pillows that another reviewer mentioned. They should... More

We were driving to Florida from NY in February and got caught in a snowstorm. The Hotel Strasburg was a haven - unique, old style hotel, comfortable room, friendly, helpful staff, great bar and restaurant. I'd definitely plan a trip to stay there again.

After 9 hours in the car, we had a pleasant supper with the locals in the old pub at Hotel Strasburg, Virginia. It was very casual, and the chicken pot pie hit the spot, much better than fast food, and only $8.95. Alex, the bartender/waiter, was amazing! I don't know how he was able to handle everyone so efficiently and... More

We stayed one night at this hotel just a few days ago. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was quaint, comfortable and clean. It feels like you're staying over at the home of a sweet old lady. The furniture and fixtures are old, but they all suit the personality of the property. Definitely recommended!

I booked this online site unseen and the over all history and ambiance is very cool, but it needs a very good cleaning. Front door should be repainted, plants on the porch...little things can add so much!! Loved the pub/bar-had the shrimp risotto -yummy. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch and meeting some of the locals. Owners please upgrade this... More

Even though it is a small town, if you are driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway, this is a nice detour to make. The decor has a great Victorian touch and the free breakfast is terrific! They offer great pastry, fresh juice and great selection of tea. All rooms are decorated differently with authentic antique rather than junky old stuff.

This is a very historic inn that was once a hospital. The restaurant (main) is very nice for lunch as it is quiet (not loud chain restaurant with tvs blaring) and would be a nice place for a business client. The dining room is kind of broken up into three parlors. The wait staff can vary greatly from really good... More
