The Hotel Strasburg is excellently located for a stay in Strasburg and offers Victorian-style living. However, be prepared to live like the Victorian era as most of the hotel is dated and old. Pros Excellent Location: Walking distance to downtown Strasburg. Victorian Feel: A very unique atmosphere that takes you back in time. This is not your cookie-cutter hotel and... More

charming hotel that's like stepping into yesteryear. lots of period decorations throughout the hotel and rooms. no elevators so be prepared to carry your stuff up flights of stairs and if possible, request a room on the 2nd floor. the room was pretty warm as they keep the a/c off when it's empty (i like the energy conservation aspect of... My husband and I spent the night last Friday night at your lovely inn. The room was beautifully decorated in period furniture. It was clean, roomy and comfortable bedding. The staff was superb. The gal at the front desk was delightful. I had to opportunity to meet the owner, Sam. He gave me so much information about the hotel and... More

I have Travelled and stayed in Five Star hotels and Boutique Hotels in Europe and dined in 6 star Restaurants and Hotel Starsburg is nothing but a blend of them all. Being the only restaurant that has reached such a level of food quality and service in the town and surrounding towns, I would suggest a visit. The Hotel Staffs... More

Sometimes I forget to ask questions. I was on the motorcycle and just looking for an inexpensive sleep over. I came across the Hotel Strasburg on Google Maps and gave them a call to see what was available. A girl named Lola answered and told me she had rooms available. I rode there, parked in front, and went inside. It... More

Thankyou Sam for a lovely stay. The rooms and bed we very comfortable. We sadly check in just before 8pm and missed the chance to din in the restaurant, which look quite charming. However the Pub was perfect and the food was delicious. This beautiful laid back and relaxing Hotel feels more like a quiet Inn and was most definitely... More

Nice hotel in quiet neighborhood, hence excellent sleep in very good beds. Charming and traditional place, refurbished a few years ago now, however in good state. Nice and large rooms, pleasantly decorated and furnished. Very friendly staff notably in the restaurant and at breakfast, although a bit slow on the reception. Pub and restaurant very conveniently on the premises whereby... More

Want to experience the atmosphere of a century ago but with all the conveniences of today? Try the Hotel Strasburg. It was built in 1904 and the owners have faithfully created the ambiance of the time. Yet you will find AC and, if you choose, a jacuzzi hot tub in your room. Staff was friendly and very accommodating of a... More

We stayed here for a night after deciding we'd had our fill of antiseptic hotels that somehow all look the same. The Hotel Strasburg defines "quaint" with its antique-filled lobby and rooms. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Keep in mind that because the hotel is a former hospital (don't be put off by that fact), the rooms are smaller... More

Very friendly. Gorgeous atmosphere with decor and furniture to match the Victorian time period. I will stay there again. Great bargain too! Continental breakfast was great. Loved it! It was a great find. Don't miss out. Stay here. I highly recommend it.

Hotel Strasburg was originally built as a private hospital in 1902 run by Dr. M.R. Bruin. Later in the 1900's the Hotel became a well-known place of lodging and dining in the Shenandoah Valley. Restored to Victorian Age elegance in 1978, its guest register in the lobby reflects a truly cosmopolitan parade of visitors from across the nation and around the world. The property is located about 70 miles from Northern VA and Washington DC in the historic district of downtown Strasburg, VA. It features a fine dinning restaurant and a quaint Pub and friendly staff. Provides Weddings and Wedding receptions as well as Banquete; Catering Services, and customized special occasion events.
