This is a very neat historic hotel that could be fantastic if managed properly. I had received a gift certificate to stay for a weekend, and was really excited about it but it just didn't live up to it's potential. First of all, everyone working there was so nice. We ate at the restaurant and hung out at the bar,... More

Good: bed was comfortable. Staff were clueless but charming and tried their best. Bad: Pretty much everything else. We've stayed in, even stayed more than once, in down-at-heels places, but this one was also not clean. And way more expensive. The chair in our room was butt-sprung and dirty, the ac/heating unit was dirty. The rug was dirty and depressing.... More

My wife and I stayed three nights at the Strasburg Hotel. Our room was large, comfortable and furnished with antiques as was all of the rooms in the hotel. The hotel was built in 1902 and started out as a hospital. There are still some items from when it was hospital. We ate most of our meals at the hotel.... More

My husband, my daughter-in-law, grandson and our two dogs stayed at the Hotel Strasburg over Thanksgiving and we loved it! Brimming with charm, this historic hotel also has a caring, welcoming and hospitable staff. Our rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated with period antiques. We all enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet that provided a large variety of food and desserts. The... More

A charming older hotel handy to the Valley battlefields with very friendly and helpful staff. As too often in older properties there are too few convenience outlets and inadequate lighting. The dining room was well.organized and the food very good Easy parking at least in November.

I arrived at the hotel late in the evening so the room was dimly lit, and in the morning after the sun came up I said it was a good thing it was dim when I arrived, because I wouldn't have slept in that room.(I have pictures for proof) The floors look liked they had never been cleaned, and I... I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I stayed in room 306 a couple weekends ago and it was horrible. There was a huge leak in the bathroom ceiling that caused brown stains all over the shower curtain and walls. My husband said it looked like it was previously patched up using only putty as a bandaid. The bed... More

Built around the turn of the last century as a hospital. Decor was 100 years old, too. The floors creaked and weren't level ... all adding to the feeling you've stepped back into a bygone era. I really liked it. My wife didn't. Pet friendly, too ... that's why we chose this hotel. Complimentary continental breakfast was pretty basic ...... More

It was cheap, but they get you on the extras, so beware. A quaint place, stepping back in time which might be ok for my mother, but not really my cup of tea. Everything creaks, from the stairs, to the floor, to the mattress to the iron bed head. Overall a good night's sleep but was ready to move on... More

A very nostalgic hotel; once serving as a pre-civil war hospital. Converted beautifully into a hotel, but more like a glorified B&B. Complete with restaurant, we enjoyed most of our time at the Depot where they had 4 beers on tap, and an assortment of other beverages. There was popcorn to munch on and a bar menu that was full...
