Let your workweek drift away at this gracious hundred-acre Shenandoah Valley property with classic lodgings less than 90 min west of Washington DC. Superb breakfasts and a weekend dinner offer featuring a particularly well-priced wine list. We enjoyed bicycling nearby in the country, and a hole-in-the-wall ice cream joint ten minutes south.

As an example of how much we love it here, we got engaged here on our second visit. We have stayed here both in summer and winter, and it is well suited for a quiet winter's stay indoors by the fireplace or a relaxing summer afternoon by the pool. The food is delicious and the caretakers of the property are... More

Excellent accomodations in historic property. Barry and Neil, the innkeepers are warm and informative. The food is excellent - fresh ingredients, well prepared and paired well; not fussy, just very good and flavorful. Loved sitting on the big porch in the comfortable rocker with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. We'll be back.

We were looking for lodging near the Front Royal SkyLine Drive entrance but far removed from traffic, noise, and any reminders that Philadelphia exists and we live there. The Inn at Vaucluse Spring exceeded our expectations. The off-freeway route from Phila to the Inn was 200 miles-a nice day trip on motorcycles- scenic and easy, yet the Inn is not... More

Through the Spring flows all of the tangibles: unsurpassed accommodations and amenities, colorful characters, bountiful natural splendor in a secluded locale, five-star menu (weekend dinners as well as breakfast each morning) and convenience to the wonders of the Shenandoah Valley. If patrons tote along the intangibles, appreciation of the aforementioned qualities and a compatible mate, they cannot help but enjoy... More

My husband and I stayed at the Inn two nights (a Sunday and a Friday) on our way down and back up to visit friends in Tennessee. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts/inns in the past, and we both feel that this is by far the best B&B/inn experience we have ever had. First of all, Barry, Neil,... More

This is a wonderful inn. My wife and I visit many upscale, small B&Bs/Inns/Resorts each year and this is one of the best and most romantic places we've found. With only 15 rooms, and many of those in their own little historic cabins, you'll have lots of privacy in luxurious surroundings. The food is outstanding as well, creatively prepared using... More

We recently celebrated our 10th anniversary with a three night stay at the Inn at Vaucluse Spring. It was an amazing experience! The Inn is the perfect place to rediscover romance! It is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. No distractions on site, but close enough to many different things to do if you want. The staff and food are wonderful. We... More

My husband and I wanted a few days alone and away from our daily life - which includes 2 adorable but demanding toddlers. We wanted a place to relax and do nothing and this was the perfect place. We stayed in a very cute cabin overlooking the pond - the most beautiful, sweet pond. We spent hours talking, reading, drinking... More
