Simply put, a fantastic weekend. The service was impeccable, the food wonderful, and the room unique and romantic. There really isn't much I could add, The INn at Vaucluse Spring knows how to run a B&B. more

We had an 80th birthday/family and friends reunion. We booked the whole Inn, and we were treated like royalty. All of the rooms were spotless, smelled like real wood and fine textiles. The Chumley house is absolutely perfect, old log home charm with modern amenities-no tv-hooray!!! Barry and his wonderful staff are the perfect compliment to the stunning setting and unique buildings.... more

Other than the fact that our room was in the newest cottage and somewhat dissapointing due to it's "new" feel, our stay was great. We'll be back to try the Jones room, the cabin or the studio. Barry and Neil are gracious and accommodating hosts, and Kelly's breakfasts were fabulous. The apple, brie and carmalized onion omlet with a side... more

This place is the perfect distance from DC, and the surrounding sprawl. The inn is out in the country where you can really enjoy feeling removed from life and work while taking time to enjoy the food, the other guests, and each other. The presentation of the food, the hosts, and all the help were really warm and gracious. I... more

So close to DC, yet so far! A lovely property with historic buildings and a mill pond and creek. Great gourmet food served attentively. Just the right amount of host interaction (important to a husband disinclined toward B&Bs!). A fire in your bedroom! Our room even included the use of large common rooms and a screened-in porch in our building.... more

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn. We stayed in the main house and enjoyed that. The decor was perfect. We felt like we were taken back in time. The old hardwood floors, high ceilings, crown molding, and antique decor all made us feel like we escaped the suburban life. The food was out of this world. The service... more

After creating a detailed spreadsheet (yeah, I'm a little crazy) of twenty seven different lodging options that accounted for distance from D.C., price, rating on Trip Advisor, and nearby attractions, the Inn at Vaucluse won. Upon arriving, it lived up to the rating system. The Inn was relatively close to the highway. As noted somewhere else, there was an unsightly... more

We've visited the Inn four or five (maybe six?) times during the last 10 years and, as we leave it today after a weekend stay, we're wondering why we haven't made it an annual event. It's perfect if you are seeking some peace and quiet, easy access to the mountains, along with truly exquisite food, in a beautiful setting --... more

My husband and I just got married on Halloween at the Inn. We stayed a night back in June (I had been there before) and he fell in love with the place too. Barry and Neil are the quintessential hosts--Barry will keep you laughing and will ensure that every detail of your stay goes well. Neil, along with Kelly in... more

Our itinery only allowed for a one night stay - we would gladly have stayed for longer and can't wait to return. This Inn is truely unique. It is a hidden gem and yet easily accessable. There are a wide variety of rooms to choose from We stayed at The Cabin which was spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated and meticulously... more
