Our first time at the Inn at Vaucluse Spring was for a wedding 11 years ago and we returned back last week for a 2 day getaway . First, Neil was so welcoming when we arrived and even offered us cookies right out of the oven. She spent time orienting us to the area and to options for hiking in... More

The Inn at Vaucluse Spring is an artist’s pipe dream and a homemaker’s paradise. Tucked away in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, it’s a romantic retreat that exudes rural splendor. When you arrive, you are welcomed as family and invited into a world where the only stressor is deciding whether or not to stick around for dinner. My recommend- stay on the... More

From my first contact by phone to checking out as we left, our stay at the Inn at Vaucluse Spring met or exceeded my expectations. Barry helped us plan our stay and choose a room in the main building that was just right for us. He was there to welcome us when we arrived and gave helpful tips about visiting... More

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this place! Absolutely beautiful surroundings, great food, extremely nice proprietors and staff - I'd go back any day. It would be a great place for couples as well as friends.

Where to begin? What a peaceful, relaxing, beautiful Inn. The room was tastefully decorated, clean, and airy. Chef Adam cooked an exquisite meal, taking into account our strict dietary restrictions. Neil and Barry are kind and gracious hosts. We are already booking our next visit. The only reason we are hesitant to write this review is because we don't want... More

I cannot say enough good things about The Inn at Vaucluse Spring. During our recent two night stay, my wife and I enjoyed the gracious hospitality of Barry and Neil, the absolutely delicious five course Saturday night dinner prepared by Chef Adam (including consideration for dietary issues) and the usual sense of feeling as welcome guests in someone's home, not... Each time we return, this was our 14th year, we are struck by the number and types of choices available at Vaucluse. We usually opt to stay in opulent splendor in an upstairs room of the manor house. But for those who want a private get-away, the rustic (still pretty opulent) cabin or the magnificent Mill House next to the... More

On the drive back home from our four day stay at the Cabin at the Inn, my wife Linda turned to me and said simply, "Perfect". And it was. The Inn, which includes the historic manor house and a number of other out-buildings, is perfectly maintained. The grounds are beautiful. Perfectly maintained gardens are everywhere - especially the numerous herb... More

We are local and did not stay, but had a wonderful dinner on a Friday evening. From our initial phone call through the entire evening, Barry was delightful and accommodating. Their chef adapted the menu to make vegan options for me. Their setting is absolutely beautiful- the home is beautifully restored. We cannot wait to return.

This was our fifth stay at the Inn and as we had a friend in from out of town we booked the Mill House for the three of us. It was divine. This was our first time in the Mill House and we loved the space it offered and the setting next to the spring. When having drinks by the... More

Drinks and conversation beside the spring on a summer evening, watching the sun go down over the water-- one of the most memorable perks of staying at the Mill House Studio! We're so glad you got to experience this with your friend, and are sure you will really enjoy a stay in the Cabin on the Pond on your next... More
