We stayed in a very nice cabin a short walk from the main lodge. The hot tub at the main lodge was relaxing. Breakfast was quite good, a buffet style. We used this place as a base for access to nearby hiking and a fun evening in Staunton. The location is rather remote, hidden down a rather steep drive. The... More

This was such a relaxing and enjoyable experience! Our first bed & breakfast experience was not very enjoyable HOWEVER Sugar Tree and the hospitality of Jeff and Becky have made us believers again! From the serene surroundings to the excellence we experienced everywhere we turned...simply amazing! Our room was soooo comfy and the special 'touch' they added with decor, delightful... More

My wife and I recently had a chance to stay at this establishment and it is flat out AMAZING!!! This is place is "over the mountian and though the woods to grandmas house we go." From the second we arrived that is how I felt as if i was going to my grandmothers house. The staff there is so wonderful... More

We stayed the second time at the Sugar Tree Inn and enjoyed our stay as last time. Jeff and Becky are excellent hosts, very friendly and the Inn is cozy and clean. Breakfast is great and we love the fabulous oatmeal. We hiked the Crabtree Fall and visited the Wineries nearby. We had a great time and enjoyed sitting on... More

Full of atmosphere and run by a lovely couple. They offered diinner on the 2 nights which was great as it is in the middle of nowhere and to sit in their jacuzzi in the evening watching the sun set with the leaves falling, was probably the highlight of our holiday. More

We were unprepared for the remoteness of the place and the uneasy condition of the road leading to it. If you are very comfortable with a truly natural environment, this, I imagine, is an interesting place...but if you are a city person thinking you spend a night in a nice b&b close to Lexington (W&L and VMI), you are in... There can be no doubt that our mountainside setting is not where this guest wanted to be. She, by her own words, is a “city person”; and clearly was not comfortable with staying anywhere outside of the city. While we do not have TV reception (there is a VCR/DVD in the room she stayed in), Wi-Fi is available in the... More

This is an amazing place located on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a lot to do very near and surrounding the inn. The inn is worth the value! The owners are hospitable and provide amazing service and food. The rooms are each unique most with fireplaces and outdoor sitting areas. This is a gem located near the Appalachia Trail... More

Just returned from a three night stay at Sugar Tree Inn. A perfect retreat for peace and tranquility with perfect hosts, Jeff and Becky. Stayed in the St. Marys cabin which is pure quality and provides a first class mountain retreat. Jeff and becky could not do enough to make a stay a memorable one. More
