Stayed at The Inn at Old Virginia, in Staunton, VA, during the last week in December 2014. It was a romantic, quiet, and cozy B&B in the Shenandoah Valley. Our charming room with a view of the rolling hills was in the "Barn," which was beautifully decorated and still had some of its original doors and features. The room had... More

We do so appreciate everyone's reviews. And thank you for being so detailed in your descriptions and observations about the Inn. I must say it takes a very supportive team to achieve the standards we strive for. Thanks for the compliment. (And you are right, we too feel privileged to have Deana at the Inn.) We have a number of... More

We've stayed in B&B's of various sorts both in the US and abroad but whole-heartedly agree this is in the tops. Very excited that it's on our way from home to parents so we can visit them again each year! First, the folks who run this place are absolutely accommodating and overly eager to make sure everything is just right.... More

So much for anonymity. :) I obviously know who you are. In any case, thank you for your review. We thoroughly enjoyed having you. And thanks for helping us out as our "tester" on gluten free foods. We have definitely added the rolls to our inventory. We are going to have to change the puzzle now, but that's the whole... More

I found this wonderful B&B on line and was more than pleased. We will definitely return. The room was wonderful, the owner and staff so helpful, and the breakfast was devine! They have a nice library and coffee area that is open to the guests at any time.

Thank you so much for your kind words. As always we appreciate them. It looks like you got a good taste of Staunton with Emilio's, Shakespeare and Woodrow. :) Always something to see and do around here. Hope you can make it back. And have a healthy and fulfilling New Year. More

Our second stay at the Inn was in late November. Snow on the ground! Our room was very comfortable (sleep adjustable bed) with nice furnishings and very clean. We stayed in the "barn" which also has a common lounge area with large TV and a fireplace. Our host, Eve, is a delight and well informed about the local area. Breakfast... More

We stayed here in the fall for our mini honeymoon trip. I was already expecting a beautiful place as all reviews were excellent but this place still exceeded my expectations! The staff were superb and exceptionally friendly, informative and helpful. Our room (and all facilities) were gorgeous in the barn building of the property. Heavenly spacious room with large balcony,... More

We were so delighted that you chose to spend your "mini honeymoon" with us. What an honor. And "wow" what a great line of pictures. I love the one with the mugs! I have to let you know that we ordered a "Lazy Susan" jigsaw puzzle table and have a partially put together puzzle on it. That is now sitting... More

Literally just left the Inn at Old Virginia and wished we could stay longer! Eve, the owner, was incredibly hospitable from the moment we walked into the door until the second we left. This was our first time ever staying in a B&B and the bar has been set high. The property is immaculate and the pictures on their website... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. They are very much appreciated. Today, I stopped in at the store and purchase "your" Scrabble and Yahtze (with extra score cards). We''ll designate a shelf for games in the library under the DVD's so guests can get them whenever they would like. I'm ordering the jigsaw puzzle board this week, so... More

Readers, be assured that this is a pleasant, well-furnished, clean property beautifully set in among meadows with cows. But we will not return. Here's why. We had looked forward to staying here as soon as, immediately after booking, we received an email asking us about any food preferences and restrictions and also "was there anything we'd like the hostess to... A welcoming, clean, well-furnished b and b located in beautiful rolling foothills convenient to Staunton (American Shakespeare Center, Woodrow Wilson house, Frontier Culture Museum, excellent restaurants) as well as I-81. The rooms in the Civil War barn are particularly large and charming.

We never stayed in a bed and breakfast before but the owners are very friendly and put you completely at ease. The breakfasts are wonderfully planned, delicious and served in their sun room at tables of two or more. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. They exceeded all expectations. The beds are incredibly comfortable. I hadn’t slept that... More

We first stayed in this B&B a couple of years ago. We were delighted to find they had room again last month. We stay in the less expensive main house. There are several attractive (from the outside) newer places at the back. The main house rooms are very large, comfortable and well appointed. The place you have breakfast is downstairs... More
