These people are awesome and warm hearted. My daughter was born with a Syndrome called Moebius and she is in and out of the hospital several times per year.. For this Christmas she wanted to see New York, thanks to our local church in Greenville South Carolina a family down in Connecticut sponsored us at their home for a couple... More

Spent two nights here on our way to and from Colonial Williamsburg to help break up the long drive. The one room camper cabin was great and on the back part of the campground in a nice wooded area. It was a bit chilly the nights we stayed and they had a nice heating unit setup already heating the cabin... More

The campground is well laid out and had plenty of shady spots (since we were late in the season). The people were very friendly. Although it isn't very close to Stanton, there is a wonderful, German restaurant within five miles. I'd stay here again just to go to the restaurant. Overall, a good solid campground. Restrooms were clean.

Our first stay at KOA Staunton visiting family locally. Easily located just off Interstate 81. Check in quick and friendly. Drive up to sites at highest level somewhat tight for our 42ft Diesel Pusher, but not worse than others we've driven. Site was a nice pull thru with picnic table and easy hook ups. Site is rigged to handle two... More

We stopped here for one night while traveling and enjoyed our short stay. It is geared to be a family friendly campground (as majority of KOA's are). The staff was knowledgeable and courteous enough to put us in a "upper" area, away from the lake, playground, pool, etc, where it was quieter so we could rest and get a good... More

Spent the weekend in a cabin at Walnut Hills KOA. Upon arrival greeted by very friendly & helpful staff. Our cabin was very quaint & had all the atmosphere of a log cabin with all the amenities if a fine hotel! Disputes the rainy weekend we had a great time! Will be making a return trip to this beautiful area!

Walnut Hills campground is a wonderful place to rest a few days. It's small and peaceful. Fish in the pond that has easy access to everyone. The playground is creative and kept up nicely. Very friendly staff. We did not use the pool but it looks nice. Lots to do nearby. Hike the mountains or visit charming Staunton. Convenient to... More

We were just passing thru area after prior CG was full so called them over the phone and was able to get one of few remaining very long pull thru sites. We were going to be arriving after hours and the woman said everything would be outside in the gray box. They printed everything up with very DETAILED instructions as... More

We have visited Walnut Hills a number of times, this time we took our college student son, he had just turned 21 so there were many new experiences for him to share with us. The campground is consistently clean and the service staff has always been pleasant and attentive. The delivery of firewood to our site is always a great... More

Clean and wonderful camp grounds. Pleasant and friendly ladies at check in. Large tent sites. Drove around the camp and realized the ladies had given us a great site which was close to everything but just far enough away. Bathrooms very clean, but water pressure at peak hours- not so good.
