-- The hundred year old house has been renovated well by David, the host & owner, and is fun to use. His breakfasts are tasty, his advice timely, his helpfulness appreciated. Each room has its own charm, is well appointed (although shared baths), and very quiet. The only negative is the parking is limited to the street for the most... More

David B, Owner at Olde Staunton Inn, responded to this review

Just a point of clarification: the Olde Staunton Inn offers five (5) guest rooms. Three of those rooms have king beds and private baths. The other two rooms have a queen bed and a standard (full) bed respectively. Only those two rooms share an adjacent bath. The two rooms which share a bath are perfect for extended groups of family... Very gracious host in a lovely old home within walking distance of the historic downtown. David makes a great breakfast and enjoys getting to know his guests and making suggestions about places to eat and things to do in Staunton. The tourist bureau is excellent as well. Note: online booking sites showed his place as unavailable for the nights we... More

Lovely B&B. David, the owner, is warm and gracious and provides a homemade breakfast that is quite tasty. The room we stayed in, the Lewis room, was large and well appointed. The rooms are clean and the comfortable. The front porch catches the breeze and stays cool in the heat of the day, providing a great place to sit and... More

We stayed here as an alternative to the overpriced options in Lexington for the W&L graduation events and were not disappointed. The host is friendly and accommodating and, having lived in the area for some time, can offer great input on area attractions and sights. The house itself has a great feel to it, is in a quiet area, and... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights for a break after driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and our host, Dave, provided the perfect setting for a quiet day. There is space to relax outside on the large, private porch, the library and the sitting room. The breakfasts were excellent and Dave was the charming and attentive host throughout our... More

Stayed recently overnight while passing through. The Olde Staunton sits on a side street, most bedrooms are upstairs in a converted attic, up three flights of stairs. For me this was not a problem. Pleasant owner, excellent breakfast, nice and well-maintained rooms. My stay was flawless.

We had an amazing weekend stay at Olde Staunton Inn and would go back anytime!! Dave was the most welcoming Innkeeper ever and he was so helpful with recommendations for restaurants, and just helped in any way he could to make our stay the best! His breakfasts were perfect! Fresh fruit and the most amazing muffins ever were the staples... More

I recently spent 4 nights in the lovely B&B. I was in town for my reunion at Mary Baldwin College. Many of my classmates stayed at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel. When I met one of them at the hotel, it was big and cold compared to this cozy B&B that was in a good location for getting around town as... More

What a great B&B, not to mention town. Stayed in the William Beverly room... Jacuzzi tub in this room is worth the extra $$. Breakfast was fabulous, owner is welcoming and friendly, but also respects guests privacy and solitude. Delicious fresh cooked scones, muffins and quiche... I wish we could wake up to that smell every morning ;0) Very minor... More
