We stayed at Luvin by the Riverside, and had an exceptional time! We were two families with a total of four kids. The cabin is so well-decorated that my friends and I were taking photos to duplicate it at home! Spacious home, well-appointed kitchen, deck and fireplaces. The views are spectacular, and we loved watching the cows and staring at... More

Stayed here in the motel section at the bottom of the mountain for work. The first day we drove up the mountain, looked around a little bit, man there is some great scenery. As for the motel room, I was happy with it. Studio apartment style. Bed fairly small and short but it worked, if ur over 5'10" u may... More

If you want to hike in the park, this is a great location. If you are looking for high end accommodations...look elsewhere. Furnishings were ok, bathroom had an acrylic shower. The wood for the fireplace was so large you could not light it. But, if you spent $5, they would get you kindling. The hotspot they advertise for $20 a... More

Lydia's Cabins is one of those vacation places one must try even once to get away from the city's hustle and bustle. Situated in the mountainside, you are able to choose the type of cabin depending on size of group and availability. The cabin is extremely comfortable and furnished from linens to kitchen appliances. It simply is a truly excellent... More

Loved it so much last year we booked it again! Spent 4 nights this time to expand our wine tasting potential. This little one room cabin is a gem! I'm not going to lie and say the roads are any less scary at points, but we love coming home in the late afternoon (read: before it gets dark!) opening a... More

We stayed at Dancing Bear cabin for two nights during the beautiful fall season. Our goal was to have a relaxing getaway in the woods, but with modern amenities included. And that's exactly what we found at Dancing Bear! The cabin is very new, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The owners have put a great deal of attention into the decorative... More

We found this cabin on the internet and booked due to the pictures we saw on the website. We we're a bit nervous at what we would find, but couldn't be more pleased. Crooked Oak Cabin has more than enough room for our family group of five adults. Everything was clean, and there were plenty of kitchen and cleaning supplies,... More

Repeat guests! Had a fantastic Labor Day weekend at Dancing Bear cabin with extended family to celebrate a special anniversary. Cabin is beautifully appointed and meticulously maintained. Loved the decor and the theme thoughtfully carried throughout the cabin. So much fun! We enjoyed: reading on the porches...smores at the fire pit...tenderloin on the grill...soaking in the jacuzzi...charades in the family... More

This privately owned (manged by Lydia Mountains) tucked away gem screams RELAX the moment you drive up to the front door. The owners of this home clearly had in mind LUXURY and CREATURE COMFORTS at every turn. Its rustic appeal with top notch amenities made this one of the most inviting experiences of our weekend getaways. My days consisted of... More

This is our second trip down to Stanardsville, VA and our second time staying at a Lydia's property. Our first trip was 4 years ago and we stayed in a one bedroom cabin and vowed to return with our family - this time we stayed at the Weiss Waterfront Retreat and came with our 2 sons/daughters-in-law and 3 yr old...
