I was looking for a place my wife and I could get away. She had just completed the first phase of a very intense work assignment and was going back at the end of May. Stevenson Ridge was perfect. Individual cabins (and houses, if you have a large family or group) reconstructed and modernized from original structures from around Virginia.... More

We stayed in the civil war house for 1 night - and left feeling that we should have stayed longer. The whole property is beautiful and every house has a story. Dan and his wife are great hosts and have a passion for restoring and preserving old houses. Dan took my father and I on a tour of the property... More

Dan and the staff at Stevenson Ridge were so easy and comfortable to be around! We loved staying in the Adrian Cabin. The cabin and property are stunning. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is beyond description. We are so appreciative that Dan and the staff share this beauty with us! I will admit, as a descendant of several Confederate... Three family members stayed in the Civil War house for 3 nights while attending a wedding in Fredericksburg. The house is amazing! Filled with period antiques and collectibles and beautifully decorated. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen will accommodate light meals. (I assume they can provide more pots and pans if you really want to cook). Innkeepers are very accommodating,... More

My family and I toured Virginia to see a different part of the US. This place is amazing. Very friendly staff. The Civil War cabin is amazing. So interesting. Also, the grounds, Lake, interesting cabins. The location can not be beat - easy to Fredericksburg, Charlottesville and DC. This is a great place, very, very highly recommend.

By virtue of a gift certificate, my wife and I were able to spend an exceptionally enjoyable night at Stevenson Ridge. Stevenson Ridge was the site of our daughter's wedding last summer, so we were somewhat familiar with it already. And we were warmly greeted by Jennifer, who, although on her way out the gate to an off-site meeting, turned... More

We stayed in the Civil War house and loved it. From the wine brought down from the "big house" to the impromptu tour the next morning of the battlements back in the woods, everything was what we'd hoped for and more. The house we stayed has great relics and period pieces that provided a wonderful start to our tour of... More

The place consists of around nine different houses, each with their own personality. We stayed at the Spy Hill house, The place itself is neat, clean and plenty of charm. The place functions well but do not expect to do cooking...there is the most basic kitchenete with only a microwave. No toaster...had to do that on the fire. But that... More

We stayed at Stevenson Ridge after a 10 day road trip around Washington and Virginia. We booked the Post Office and it was everything it was promised to be. We valued the peace and quiet to such an extent that we changed our plans to spend a day at the property chilling out. The cabin was comfortable and warm and... More

The Ridge did a great job hosting the 1st Annual Emerging Civil War Symposium at Riddle House. Next door was the big place and I saw 3 wedding receptions. They looked fun too. Hoppin affairs. Watch out for traffic on highway, you can get smashed turning into the Ridge on Meeting Street. Have to make U turns safely. Dont know... More
